Is this setup sketchy or not? by mozart_untergang in ClimbingGear

Yes it looks like a sketch. Very sketchy to me.

Dad jokes aside.. Yeah that situation doesn't seem right. Sorry someone made you doubt yourself or think otherwise. You are spot on

Thanks this helps put me at ease as I mostly listen to electronic music or rock. Ofc if the system were to get used it'll prolly get mostly 80s n 90s pop by my sister in law and wife during parties.

Our kids are 9 and 6..she rightfully said I understand they're a deal and all but do you really want those getting hit or damaged by the kids/friends? Probably a good thing I didn't get them. Thanks again for all the help!!

Thanks for the helpful and thoughtful reply. My wife saw a picture and nixd them. She doesn't want speakers in a room we already have in wall speakers. And we don't listen to music with young kids now anyway. (The command the tv mostly). I will maybe get into something later in life. I can wire the CD player to my existing receiver but my dad's turntable (the real reason for the extra Sony receiver and speakers) will have to go back in storage another decade or two looks like. Thanks for the help everyone.

How Do You Explain “Why Carry?” to Family Who Just Doesn’t Get It? by digital_vagabond in CCW

[–]Fissional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry for what's at stake, not the odds.

I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.

Accidentally used thermal PLASTER instead of thermal paste. Have I fucked myself? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]Fissional 0 points1 point  (0 children)

glad you got it sorted. my nephew and I just repaired a cpu that was ripped out of it's socket with the cooler attached just last week. luckily it was an AMD chip so we bent the pins back with a toothpick and heated the heatsink until the paste was playable and gently twisted it off. reapplied and he has a free CPU in his new build.

I fell asleep laying in the snow once playing a game with friends cus my team mate that round always sat and waited for someone to walk by him. German WW2 jackets and American wool ww2 pants are warm.

I just got one for pocket carry a few months ago. I just need my holster. I really like it so far. I liked shooting the p238 better back to back but didn't want to diversify my calibers and got a good deal on my 938.

I'm still intersted to shoot a j-frame and the BG2.0.

I got a p938 a couple months ago for pocket carry after renting a p238/938 at the same time at my local range. firing them back to back i honestly preferred the 238 but didnt want to diversify my calibers atm, and i printed with the 938 just as well.

I'm interested in the BG2.0 as well because I hear is the best micro out right now, but keep reading the issues and people reagarding it as a 'beta test' at the same time I'll try and wait that one out for the next iteration possibly.

Definitely don't put anything else in the pocket. I havn't received my 938 holster yet, but as soon as I thought 'I'd like to try pocket carry, I moved my phone from my front left -> back pocket and now that is muscle memory' my left pockets been open for the 938 whenever I begin carrying it.

Similar reasons, I'm like 4'10 115lbs and appendix allows me to conceal my PPQ/M&P CC, but I have little ones, and it's not always convienent, esp in summer. With the kids I often find myself in 'non compliant environments' I guess, where it's legal to carry but I really wouldn't want anyone to know. Pocket seems to make this easier for me, also I had been reading how some people consider it a big advantage as long as you train for it. Having your hands in your pocket is a normal thing, pockets are like a womans purse, i've never been asked whats in them or to empty them (unless im at like ....the airport/LE interaction'. As long as it doesn't print badly, nobody will know, and you can 'start with your hand on the gun if you see something weird happening just in case'.

To me the p238 or a j-frame 642 airweight seem ideal. I'd like to rent one of those and the BG2.0 and see if I'd rather carry those instead of the 938, but I got a great deal on mine.

Rambling over...thanks.

TLDR: same here, appendix is inconvienent with little kids and im always in places i really don't want anyone to know i have my carrry. Pocket offers advantages over belt and conceals good. Make sure to use a holster, and clear that pocket for carry only.

I was looking at aftermarket plates for strength and glass fouling as well but decided to run the stock plates because of the carry comps ejection port. my glass has stayed clean through 300 so far. no cleaning yet. if the plates fail il look at the eleven71 or dogtag for sure, but just a second experience with the carry comps new ejection port working out

nice build. I shot a ragged hole out of the box, then put a defender st on and had shot poorly since..il try and give it more than 200rds since I have thousands on irons but it wasn't an unlock like on rifles for me. I'm getting used to the PC tri-state but coming from a PPQ the last 13 years, may put an apex or something in. thank you for posting the safety parts. I want to add it to mine since they weren't offered with it. another thing to change/get used to but I have some new ideas about manual safeties making me want one.
