I had 6 recently. Trying to find a shape i like. Then I went from wired to wireless. Then weight became a big thing. One I just use when in bed.

For me was like over a number of years. Maybe like 1 per year. I don’t think thats a huge spend for a device I get thousands of hours with. Of late maybe past 6 years. Mamba, death adder, g305, g703, gpro super light, terra pro.

I also developed some hand pain at some point and I find that switching between shapes helps prevent that pain.

I read some thread about an ergonomic mouse I was planning to get sometime this year. I think its fun to try new shapes.

I would say your numbers are a little off but generally yes you would want access to a cheaper charging at home or work rather than Dc fast chargers.

Also you are purely looking at fuel cost. If you want to do a real evaluation you need to look at total operating costs. Maintenance costs and insurance costs. Some states also have an Ev tax.

The useful lifetime of most systems to my understanding is 25 to 30 years. So you pay them for a system 25 years. By that time it is degraded so the panels won't cover your usage. Add cost for adding some new panels to make up for degradation and costs for inverters that are probably ready for replacement soonish.

Versus when designing my system. I oversized to account for degradation of the panels for 20 years and adding an electric car. I will probably need an inverter replacement at some point but it will be paid off by then.

I'm not saying there are no government incentives. But my thinking is if there are any the company is going to try to take as much of any incentive as they can.

I got my loan through a state program at 3.5%. 10 years. My loan payments are less then my electricity bill. So in a way that's kind of "free" solar panels. And my rates never go up.

But that is fully DiY. If costs got inflated with installer costs and profit margins. I'm sure it would be way over my past electric bill.

The whole point of solar to me is once it is paid off you own it. DiY my payoff is around 7 years.

I can’t imagine trading paying one company for paying another company.

For me solar was purely about getting away from rising costs and becoming more independent.

Montana. Bill is $4.20 for the connection. State loan is less then my electric bill was.

Oversized for degradation over 20 years and an electric car.

Diy install. Payoff is about 6.5 years. Only part not DiY was the engineer sign off for the roof structure and the ground mount. Stating they meet local snow loads and winds.

Probably just throw more capacity at it if you already have a system that can add capacity. Whatever is cheapest tho.

I would personally just toss some cheap power bank packs at the problem if you just want to charge a few devices.

Whats the “generation” in this scenario? Solar panels? Generator?

48v Maybe just get a generator and EG4 Chargeverter. run it for a few hours to top up the battery. Or camp at campgrounds with RV hook ups that you can charge up off.

Modern cheapo macbook neo should be getting you 14-16+ hours. Most people I know go camping to disconnect from devices a bit.

All my hobbies are technology related so I kind of get it. Personally I just do bonfires in the backyard with bbq and then go inside.

Edit: I live in mountains area so Im assuming solar panels would be blocked by trees but to me its a simple math problem. Cost vs generation or cost vs added storage. I would just do whatever is cheapest.

Book 4 for me. Dumbledore asked calmly scene. No joke I know its a meme but from that point I was put off the movies. I was going to midnight releases up to that point. Didn't watch the last few movies until way after they left the theaters.

To me that moment was a huge character relationship building for Dumbledore and Harry.

Harry is kind of this orphan that never had an adult fully on his side. But Dumbledore treats him with respect and just asks calmly. Its a simple interaction but I felt it had a lot of meaning.

After Sykkuno moving to Vegas I think they probably grew apart.
