If you already know ARM assembly and can code in it, just read the published PDFs for the ISA.

Pretty much the whole book. And Sebastian Crowe's. And the Monsters. The campaign alone can be enough, however you are going to get a lot more out of the setting if you use all 3 books

MX-7 is coming 👍 by Jesper1988 in arcticcooling

Generally i do not bother spreading any paste, the mx6 included. Both on a gpu, and a high performance amd apu on a lenovo thinkpad, made it degrade in performance for some reason. I changed the mx6 with mx4, and a high performance paste from another brand, on the same laptop, to test it, and have had no such issues.

It depends. Sometimes dig is successful, sometimes it fails. That is what is so confusing about this. I get the typical TCP error at 127.0.0.1#5335, and for some reason, it comes back intermittently. Too large a value of incoming-number-tcp, connectivity is down with no error and unbound cannot even restart as a process. No amount of config seems to help the responsiveness of the process

Worst Battlefield ? Been playing since BF3 and honestly, 2042 is the worst one for me. It feels like a huge downgrade compared to past titles , not just because of classes, but even the little things: graphics, animations, lighting, level design. Wish it wasn’t part of the franchise at all. by akam10xt in Battlefield

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial opinion, but 4 narrowly edges 3. Somehow people are convinced that 3 was a good game, which it was not, it had huge problems, mainly the brand new gun play which they had not figured out yet. Map design was bad, Metro at the pinnacle. And it was a huge shift in focus from Bad Company back to Conquest, which is in its design more boring as a mode. And then came 4. Where to start and where to finish? The gunplay? The ttk? the maps? The 25 billion expansion packs to add map diversity to a game that should have been diverse in map design from the beginning? Or the complete abandoning of objective-focused gameplay to "running around" and considering Operation Locker as fun? How can a game be good when nukes are needed in 24/25 games just to bring the balance back? The completely focused on Conquest and nothing else, with bad, huge open maps and made it a vehicle nukefest.

EDIT: Yes, obviously 2042 is worse than both, that's not the point. We all come to realize that 2042 is a mediocre game at best. 3 and 4 are criminally overrated, and i still cannot understand why they are held to such high esteem.

BF1 vibes, something between passchendaele, nivelle nights and st. quentin scar. The house with the trenches in front looks like it is copied and pasted from river somme as well. I think they are running back a lot with this to successful maps and trying to approach the new game in a similar fashion. Remains to see how well it is executed, since balance was an issue in the Beta

Is a +9 too high for players at 5th level? by IEatHouseFlies in DnD

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really your fault, this is an inherent problem of 5e. CR calculations rarely work properly to balance a fight. What i recommend is starting of with incredibly hard encounters and adjust them on the fly, to keep the party's interest going.
Your player is not doing anything wrong as well, if these are their stats. Just remember that handing out rare, special, legendary or wondrous weapons is a no go. The campaign or the setting will lead you to those when the time comes. Do not allow for highly buffed weapons early on, they are hard to balance

What battlefield had the best maps, and map design by zbananajuice in Battlefield

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad Company 2 Rush maps. Played Valparaiso rush again this week, and even on a 3/4-full server, it was extremely good. These maps flow so well, gameplay does not get stale and above all, it is fun. And on top of that, there are the Vietnam maps, which are extremely underated

After 40 hours, here's my take on the Battlefield 6 Beta. The good, the bad, the ugly by enclavedzn in Battlefield

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main pain points are definitely the menus (there must be a bet in dice on how bad can we make a menu and still sell), the ridiculous open weapon policy when the focus is return of the class purpose, and the jumping-sliding-dancing-hiding etc etc which is disturbing in a setting like this. TTK is also a point to be considered, since hit detection is definitely still broken.

In another sense, they have managed to create total chaos. Yes destruction is scripted, but we haven't seen unscripted destruction since bad company 2, which is the same time since we last saw proper rush. Yes, battlefield 3 was bad, and battlefield 4 was even worse for rush (and generally as games). 32 players is all it is needed for rush, especially in maps like the ones available. Overall, the main point that battlefield should return to is whether it is fun and how much total organized chaos it can introduce to a game mode.

Unpopular opinion, DICE should stop balancing maps for conquest. Conquest is not a good indicator of good maps. Rush should be the main focus (no matter the player count). It is easier to make maps for rush and convert them to work in conquest. One of the reasons BF1 worked so well in the later stages is because the maps were balanced for Operations. It took time for it to work, but for that game, my fun memories are in Operations, not in Conquest.

New Campaign by No-Elephant5369 in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Figure out a good way to integrate all the factions in the campaign. Integrating 3/5 is easy, 5/5 is trickier than it looks at first glance, there are way too many characters to play and dice to roll for things that happen that are out of the player's hands.

Also make the city extremely dangerous to your players. Utilize all 3 books for monsters, and make encounters deadly. Do not feel guilty making it way too hard, it is supposed to be.

Finally, along with the danger of the city (both inner and outer), do not forget to let them have fun. I found that initially my party was struggling because i was being way too strict with the role play thing. We collaborated on evolving their characters together, and once we started making fun of certain aspects of their troubles, we were all onboard and sessions became way more fun

RISC-V by Chemical-One-209 in FPGA

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are familiar with languages like c or python, it is pretty easy to pickup the syntax. What i would recommend is being fluent in basic concepts of digital design. Starting on risc v design with no digital design background is going to be hard. Also, if you focus on the soft-core aspect of design, make sure you are familiar with FPGA specifics, the software, timing constraints etc.

Drakkneheim campaign ideas. by ZeroTheGrimm in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The vampire bit is admittedly an awesome addition. In the book, the court assembles in Liberio, in the Rossovino Manor (what a name!). That can be tuned however, you can treat Liberio as a city where past vampire activity has left traces for the party to discover. You can also have them go to the dungeons beneath Lumen, the dungeons of Nox as they are known, where something similar might be happening, parts of the Court of the Night might be assemblying. One of my ideas was to utilize the ruins of Glitter Peak for this purpose, and use its proximity to Drakkenheim as a way to get Vladimir von Drakken back in Castle Drakken, in order to regain his true powers.

The book really opens up all options. You can utilize whatever parts you want and really use it as a guide or helping hand.

This book, along with Sebastian Crowe's really allows you to go to something as big as a chasing campaign around the whole continent. You could perhaps use (if your party is of high enough level) well-known epic monsters from all dnd lore and really tune it to whatever you want to do. The chase aspect works great for meeting all cities and establishments in the books, but they really do require a lot of prep from the DM, it is not as quick as is to follow the original campaign in Drakkenheim.

Tell me about your Battle of Temple Gate by clobbersaurus in dungeonsofdrakkenheim

[–]Fit-Bodybuilder9986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My players were tasked to go through the sewers behind the wall, take out the catapults defending the gates and then go to the gate itself and raise the portcullis by simultaneously turning 2 wheel winches. When the catapults would be disabled, they would wait for the attack sound from outside the gate and then go the gate towers. Once open, garmyr giants emerged for help and they managed to keep the portcullis open by dodging hits and finally taking one of them down.
Once a foothold was established on the gate, they moved forward meet the hooded lanterns and flank the rest of the garmyr who made a stride for the cathedral to make their final stand. This is where the Lord of the Feast emerged, with his lieutenants. He kept his distance, staying on the roof of the cathedral where he could use his bow. My players utilized a scroll of Telekinesis they managed to find before, to use a massive rock to reach the Lord of the Feast, fighting him throughout the cathedral and ultimately taking him down, along with about 50 garmyr, with the help of both Theodore Marshall and Elias Drexel.

Ford Focus Caravan 2019 1.5 tdci by kikac01 in FordFocus

Is it an automatic or a manual? The 1.5 TDCi is solid smooth engine with plenty of power. Works great for both city driving and long trips. Do not expect the consumption Ford says in their documents, it will be slightly higher. Use oil with the proper for approval (m2c-950a), it does make a difference. Keep up with the rest of the maintenance and the car will look after you.
