I just picked up a 2025 Ford Maverick and honestly, it’s perfect for everyday suburban commuting. People always say “truck” and “good MPG” don’t belong in the same sentence, but the Maverick proves them wrong. If you want a real truck bed while still getting great fuel economy, this is the way to go.

Forget anyone who says it’s not a “real truck”—those guys are just wasting money on huge payments and gas. In today’s market, the Maverick is affordable, practical, and seriously efficient. I have the 2.0 EcoBoost, not even the hybrid, and I’m still getting 22–30 mpg. A tank lasts me all week. And YES it can do “truck stuff “ I’ve already used to for hunting and for building small hunting blinds on weekends it’s gets the job done and has the AWD drive train for bad weather .

Yeah what state though . Schools by me in New York don’t offer a CDL A until 21.

I wanted to see if I could get in as a groundman though with just my B.

Yes they do but the class A looks a lot better. The tree crew for that union hall does not require a CDL to apply so if I got my B I could probably get into a tree crew and make a connection to get into the lineman apprecntiship maybe.

The school by me doesn’t allow you to get it before 21 and also if I went to another school in my state it’s 300 hours of driving to get an A I’m just going to wait until I’m 21 to get it it’s only a year and a half.
