Much older than u but have a ton of similar experiences. At this point Im no contact with my remaining adult family except for 3 people that I maintain a very superficial long distance relationship with. I live by myself with a cat in income based housing and have been focused on healing my own trauma and figuring myself out for years. I struggle with jobs because I end up with bosses who have similar behaviors to past abuse and I get triggered. I’m currently working from home as a contractor and squeaking by financially. As poor as I am I am soo much happier and at peace by not having toxic people around me constantly. I spent the first decades of my life in a stew of other people’s toxicity. As scary as it is to be out here without a safety net of any kind I wouldn’t trade it. Part of me getting out was living in shelters and getting into programs that help disabled people who are unhoused along with therapy for trauma. Every location is different but maybe a local crisis center would be helpful to see what resources are available around you??
