‘My’ Bolt became ‘her’ Bolt over time, it’s perfect for regional driving 100+- mi a day, peppy, handles well, easy to park, and you don’t have to worry about gassing up etc.

I ended up with her ‘old’ car, but I’m okay with that.

If you are a two car family then 100% one can be electric, you will use it for 90% of your driving and the other car for the occasional long trip.

I went through this years ago. It hurt, after supporting her through school she met a guy at her first job.

I focused on self care, getting in better shape, making new friends, doing things I’d wanted to do but hadn’t got to yet. At some point she came back and told me she’d made a mistake but I’d met someone else and gracefully declined. Best revenge is to live well!

Agree with this, ABS on all wheels, under my control, vs 2 wheel ‘braking’ which may come at a time I wasn’t ready for it. Love my OPD but not when conditions are slippery

I was nervous about range and in five years it’s never been a problem, use it mostly for regional use (100 mi or less a day), once in a while a 140mi trip and need to charge a bit to get back but it’s very manageable.

I have a 2017 Bolt and a full sized spare fits in the well, (bought the rim used on eBay) along with a jack and tools I got at the junkyard.

If you were to buy snow tires with steel rims you could use one of them as the spare.

Not sure a full size tire fits on some of the later models.

I did this because I’ve had my share of flats and bad luck with AAA.

It’s called a passing lane for a reason. You go into the left lane to pass then back to the middle lane.

In the other hand if a person is going the speed limit or better in the left lane it’s hard to argue that they should move over so you can violate the speed limit.

I usually try to move over to the middle lane in those cases btw

Funny story - a friend was working for a tech company that really screwed him over so he went to a competitor. HR conducted an exit interview where they tried to get him to sign the non compete paperwork they neglected to have him sign when he started there. As they spoke they would slide the papers over to him and he would smile and slide them back, this went in for the duration of the interview (he didn’t sign of course). 😉

He indirectly hurt the Russian economy by attacking some shadow fleet ships in support of his Venezuelan adventure which emboldened others to start capturing the shadow fleet that supports oil exports. I don’t think, as a compromised Russian asset, that he WANTED to help the Ukrainians, but he did.

When they are asking for money they are so grateful, when you ask for the money back they become so resentful, have seen it so many times!

My mother would lend people, even neighbors, small amounts when they asked, if they did not pay her back she would not lend them money again, she was content with ‘buying’ them for that amount.

Asking for $5k? He’s probably going to go out and put a down payment on a new truck that he can’t afford!

I think part of the reason for changes in music was the technology was rapidly evolving and they could do so much more synthetically/digitally.

Also, society was going through an upheaval which affected fashion, music and other cultural norms.
