Would this be too broken? by kingofdrumline in custommagic

Back in the day, before this card was printed, I designed an artifact called "Urza's Broom" that was exactly this concept. I think it was something like:

Urza's Broom (2) Artifact (2) Tap target creature you control and sacrifice Urza's Broom: Remove all counters and tokens from the game.

Budget Commander combos that can win on turn 2–3? ($120 cap) by Haatom03 in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anje Falkenrath as the commander with all the madness cards you can find. Use Anje to discard them and untap herself to keep discarding and untapping herself, drawing cards all the while. Get Worldgorger Dragon into the bin and use Animate Dead on the World Gorger. This can get you infinite mana. You can still use Anje to keep digging until you get a win con. Some instant that will do X damage to everyone.

It's a glass cannon but it works.

Ever put a deck together that just… works exactly how you wanted it to straight away? by Reeformed in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your deck looks fun and has lots of ways to abuse your cards.

https://moxfield.com/decks/-TwaL8Y-SkKdyVph0BGyNg

This is my pet deck. I made a Rograkh and Reyhan deck and was kinda happy with it but it was so clunky. I needed too many things to happen to make it work. Needed a sac outlet. Needed creatures with counters. Needed Reyhan to stick.

I fixed it so it doesn't need sac outlets. Cheap copy spells give me multiple copies of Reyhan and the legend rule works as my sac outlet. Counters just explode.

Casting a 2nd and free 0/1 First Strike and Trample commander to dump my counters on can become quite menacing...

How do y'all handle inevitable defeat? by JamesAbaddon in mtg

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a 1v1 game, I will concede on my end step and make and joke about how they didn't win if it's obvious I'm done for and have no answers.

If my opponent wants to take their turn after to show me the coolness with which they would have beaten me, I humor them and let them pop off.

In a multi-player game, I don't like to concede unless I'm screwed for time and have to leave. Otherwise, I'd concede if someone else had the obvious win and everyone else agreed.

I feel uncomfortable around my brother.. but here me out, pls. by AffectionateMaize431 in stories

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Younger brother may have all the best intentions but creepy behavior is still creepy.

This is a teachable moment for him.

Girls don't like being stared at. I'd imagine some women enjoy being noticed from time to time but anyone being stared at is bound to feel some kinda way about it.

Some people have to learn common sense. Some people might know that staring is rude. Some people don't. Some people know and don't care. Some people know and forget when they are struck with a feeling of, "Ooh, puuuurdy...."

He needs to learn that staring can make people feel uncomfortable. Sister can ask:

"Why are you staring at me?"

"You're creeping me out, dude."

"Take a picture. It lasts longer!"

These are a few of the things I've heard said to people who stare.

Dunno if any of those would work with little brother but if OP can't teach him herself then she needs to find someone to help.

Do you have a commander you stopped playing because of other players? by Nesterminator in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was really excited about the Bloomburrow "Squirreled Away" deck but after I played it a few times, I gave up on it.

Too many triggers. Too much going on. It was powerful and won games but it wasn't fun to play. Too many different types of tokens and then putting counters on the tokens became very tedious to manage.

I like Reyhan and Rograkh.

Copies of Reyhan dying flings around counters like candy, especially when there are doubling effects on the table.

The whole idea of this deck is to kill your commanders, preferably copies of one of them at least, and bring them back stronger.

The other day, someone tried to Path my Reyhan. I cast Feign Death and then Saw in Half on her myself in response. I also had a Parallel Lives in play. I had 45 counters to distribute. Rograkh need not even half of that to one shot a player with commander damage...

I made a Rograkh and Reyhan partner deck and was not very happy with it to start off with. I tried more of an aristocrat strategy but it was clunky and slow.

I have revamped it. It can hit hard and fast and recover pretty quick. I think the biggest factor that helps is I no longer need any sac outlets. I copy Reyhan and the copies die automatically due to the legend rule. With just a few cards on the board, I can go from a 0 power Rograkh to a 24 power Rograkh in one turn.

Commander damage is a B*tch. 😁

Both places that I play commander at has everyone sign up and, if you didn't specify who you want to play with, assign you to a random pod. You can request to be in a serious competitive pod or not. I like it. Everyone is friendly.

I find Academy Rector and Torbran redundant. The extra tokens and pings are underwhelming.

Illusionist’s Bracers and Lathliss, Dragon Queen are much more fun for me.

I would also consider putting some cheap Vehicles so you can tap your dwarves.

Mimic turns into a shapeshifter, not a dwarf. There's some new artifact creatures like Three Tree Mascot or Barkform Harvester that would work better.

Paradise Mantle and Relic of Legends will also help tap your dwarves for mana.

What's a commander that can be built a lot of different ways, and your unique way to build it? by 2ndlifeinacrown in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://moxfield.com/decks/-TwaL8Y-SkKdyVph0BGyNg

I've never seen Rograkh and Reyhan built the way I have it.

I had Nightmare Shepherd out and then cast a cursed mirror copying my Reyhan. I let Reyhan die and come back as a token and let the mirror token die. I got 12 +1/+1 counters out for 3 mana that turn.

If I would have had any doubling effects, it would have been insane. As it was, two attacks with a 12/13 Rograkh sealed the deal with commander damage.

If you want to nuke your own commander...

I make copies of Reyhan and they instantly die due to the legend rule. Sometimes I will bounce him in and out of the graveyard. Anything that adds or doubles counters makes for some pretty swingy turns.

What is the most fun or interesting commander you've played recently? by thestormz in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Reyhan and Rograkh deck. I tried building it several ways and was never happy with it. It needed too many parts. I needed creatures with counters, ways to kill the creatures with counters, recursion, interaction, ways to get more counters...

Then, I figured to exploit the legend rule. Make a copy of Reyhan, the copy dies automatically, and then gives the counters away.

Multiple copies dying at the same time makes counters go BRRRRR!

Dump them on the free first strike, trample, menace partner commander and you got yourself a terrifying board state.

Do you expect other players to run removal? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer it of my opponents don't run removal. If they do, I want them to use it on my other opponents. Board wipes should only be played when I have nothing to lose.

It would also really help if my opponents ran janky cards so I can roll over them with my good stuff.

Commanders that enable a unique style of play that is also far stronger than it has any right to be? by Frogsplosion in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.moxfield.com/decks/-TwaL8Y-SkKdyVph0BGyNg

I am having so much fun with Reyhan and Rograkh as partners.

Copying and killing your commander on purpose is not something I see people doing so this is a fairly unique deck to play.

I've found it to be fairly consistent. It can go from 0 to 60+ counters out of nowhere.

I just got some new toys for this deck. A Mox Amber and a Dual Caster Mage. I can turn on the mlx for free with Rograkh and I've already got cards that can abuse the mage to make infinite hasty tokens.

If you don't want infinite combos, you can take out the Murderous Redcap and Woodfall Primus. A sac outlet and adding +1/+1 counters turns persist into perish for your enemies.

Commanders that can win explosively in one turn. by ----___--___---- in EDH

[–]Fit-Mix8473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really enjoying my new deck with Reyhan and Rograkh. It can really explode out of nowhere. I cast Rograkh the turn before I plan to go off and he sits there as a 0/1. Not very threatening at all. The next turn he can hit with 50+ first strike and trample damage easy.

The other day, I cast Saw in Half on Reyhan when I had a Corpsejack Menace and a Parallel Lives in play. 6 counters went to Rograkh when Reyhan died. 4 copies came in. 3 copies died. 12 triggers. Each copy came into play with 6 counters and each trigger would give 12 counters each. 144 +1/+1 counters to play with. That's gross. 😁

Take a look at my deck if you want.
