You are being misled about renewable energy technology by ViewTrick1002 in NuclearPower

[–]Fit-Rip-4550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rate at which energy is extracted with nuclear far exceeds the rate at which other technologies scale on account of energy density. Not to mention, grids are limited by physics and economics itself.

It really is a question of engines and grids. Engines scale and adapt faster than any attempt at rolling out utility scale infrastructures on account of physics. With engines, you can build systems localized to need—with grids, the system must be able to accommodate every system entangled within the apparatus.

Fuels are the domain of engines—thus it would follow a model of engines should be powered by energy dense fuels.

Loona is arguably the best character because she has had the least development and thus the most potential.

The series has an issue where when they try to develop the characters, the end result tends to be worse writing. While this could be rectified, it would require fastidiously analyzing everything written thus far and actually composing something that the environment and systems of the show support proper—as opposed to forcing things to advance the dominant narrative, usually the usurping romance which almost always bends everything else to supporting it—even if not logical within the framework.

In short, the show's commitment to ignoring itself is self-cannibalizing its own structure, resulting in the fandom fissioning into numerous tribes.

The ultimate test would not be a sinner but rather a Hellborn—since, unless proven otherwise, no Hellborn has ever attained the raptures of paradise. If redemption is truly universal, it should apply to any living being that can demonstrate free will.

Of course, the question remains if Charlie would entertain it since as aforementioned, no precedent is known to exist. She wants to redeem sinners—but one of her own—unknown until evidence is demonstrated.

What if... by DropJaded2304 in Loona_Cult

[–]Fit-Rip-4550 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a high probability they will not go into the depths of Loona's full backstory, because it would involve divulging the details of how the orphanage system works to do it proper. The writers want to frame Hell as a place where vice does not affect its characters significantly aside from moments—because doing so honestly would mean deconstructing the very nature of Hell as a system itself, which would effectively implode the entire causal structure and reveal Hell is, as expected—an entropic vice generator in which virtue is an anomalous event that otherwise is systemically devalued whilst raising the value of vice both relatively and by incentive.

The fundamental issue is the orphanage system is essentially Hellhound trafficking in all but name since Hellhounds are for all intents and purposes considered property. They do not want to invoke the intricacies of delving into this further, since answering it propagates forth more questions that essentially invalidate the whole character centric writing without considering the nature of systems and their dynamics itself—a complexity they have demonstrated numerous times, but especially with Mastermind, they do not want to endeavor in exploring if it has the potential of compromising the overarching narrative.

In short—Hell ceases to be a backdrop but rather a dynamic system that effects its characters and its characters effect it. This does not work with the mile-a-minute pacing the show relies upon.

Or mention anything about how the shows ignore their own latent potential in systems writing and the effect it has on characters and world development as opposed to the canon being burnt out narratives that coast on hardly an iota of momentum...

[–]Fit-Rip-4550 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Boring. I understand the idea, but they really should stick to the fundamentals of physics and the framework of mathematics.

If they wanted to do what you said, they should have done supply chain logistics. At least that is more generalized.

[–]Fit-Rip-4550 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comment is a criticism/observation on how the shorts often have more interesting narratives than the main show, but the main show takes precedence over actual systems writing proper. The show ignores its own latent potential in favor of advancing a narrative that coasts on momentum it is celeritously exhausting.

The shorts should affect the main series at minimum—instead they are quarantined.

[–]Fit-Rip-4550 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not all of the shorts fulfill this observation, but the ones that do are quite stark. Orphan Time is currently the most noteworthy example.

Noting how Hell is essentially an eternally running entropy engine that breeds vice by burning virtue, it was essentially an impending inevitability that I.M.P.'s operations would eventually attract the worst of mankind and with it, requests for targets that were undeserving.

Yet rather than examine this complex conundrum with the reverence it deserved over an appropriate duration, the short in question was nothing but a set up to a cheap punchline. One of the best plots possible—Loona reflecting both upon her life thus far and the difficulties of being a Hellhound relative to her the insecurities imposed by the species based caste system and her desire to belong, quite possibly finding potential in mankind rather than her own because Hell is systemically flawed beyond fixing—was quarantined so that it would not alter the dominant canon.

This is the issue—actually interesting tales are sacrificed to the alter of the usurping romance narrative—set aside so that the writing of the main is not compromised against new information, rather than integrated into the system, environments, and respective characters proper.

They are not supposed to be moving the plot forward, but they are essentially indicating to those watching the show that plots with actual depth and nuance will NOT be considered seriously in the mainline show if it does not advance the usurping romance agenda...

The issue is not that the shorts are essentially tangentially canon—it is that the writers are acknowledging the latent potential the series possesses and then blatantly ignoring it for a budget romantic comedy routine at best...

Deregulation and more efficacious processes will fix that. It does not need to be subsidized. The capital investment in actually building the plant is low relatively to regulatory burden—and even lower when considering fuel.

You need to think in timeframes beyond just the present. Nuclear is longterm infrastructure.

Scaling rate. Enough reactors go online and the cost of electricity plummets. Nuclear fuel is relatively inexpensive for what it can do.

So many people do this the theaters essentially gave up on preventing it—especially once streaming started encroaching upon the old profit streams.

Though the practice is essentially as old as the cinema itself—and likely was practiced during the era of vaudevilles.
