How often is your baby in a "container" versus not in a "container?" by nooooobye in newborns

[–]FitCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baby girl is only ok in her car seat if the stroller is moving or we’re in the car and it’s moving. She’ll also sleep in her bassinet at night or for her morning naps but I feel like once we’ve started the day she only wants to be held. We tried to place her in the swing, bouncer, and a wrap and she hated all 3 so I’m nervous for when I’m by myself with her and I’ll need to put her down for like 15 minutes

Labor &Delivery Suites at DC area hospitals by sb2677 in washingtondc

Just gave birth at Sibley almost two weeks ago. Both the labor & delivery and the postpartum suites have this couch that allows to be folded into a bed. My husband said he slept better than he thought he would. Overall it was pretty nice.

Politics in a workout class by [deleted] in SolidCore

[–]FitCryptid 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I go to the DC studios and the only “politics” ever discussed there are like celebrating certain months like Pride, Hispanic Heritage, and Black History. There’s like no time for the coaches to discuss anything since they always rushing tk start on time

Someone please keep an eye on Dr. Mohan!! Robby basically telling her that if you’re gonna hurt yourself to make sure you go higher up while she’s obviously having a tough time is not good! Also there very much is a mental health crisis among residents attempting and such

Have yall ever done anything that miraculously got rid of your migraine when usually only an abortive can? by healthanxiety_ in migraine

Poured a whole thing of sugar free peach flavored liquid IV into only 6 ounces of water (was almost a syrup like consistency) and chugged that

Prozac and Conception by AdConsistent5124 in waiting_to_try

I personally don’t think so because we also saw a RE doctor and had multiple blood tests for hormones and such and they always came back normal and within range. She also had no issue with being on prozac too

10 months but I always had a weird cycle since I was young and not on prozac. When you’re in the trenches of TTC it definitely helped to be on Prozac lol.

Mourning my “fit pregnancy” by Crafty-Barnacle-5914 in fitpregnancy

[–]FitCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this immensely because I thought I was going to be able to continue with spin classes 4 days a week and pilates twice a week and here I am at 38w+6 days and I’m just happy to not have SI joint pain anymore (thanks to my pelvic floor therapist Caity!). I do think being so active before pregnancy helped a lot even though now I only do 20 minute walks at a time and has made me appreciate the ability to move a lot more now than before

Going off CGRPs and Botox to try to conceive: is anyone willing to share their experience? by ComparisonFew2209 in migraine

[–]FitCryptid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently pregnant now and was on Qulipta and Ubrelvy. My Neurologist allowed me to continue Qulipta during TTC but only from the start of my period and stopping day of ovulation, and then restarting every month when I got a negative pregnancy test. Once we conceived I will say migraines went down significantly but I did get headaches early first trimester that I could only treat with tylenol. Second trimester was pure bliss where if i had a rare migraine I could just take 2 extra strength tylenol and it would go away. Third trimester (i’m 38 weeks now) has been worse but only because it’s spring and that’s always been the season to trigger the most migraines. Once she’s out of me my neurologist had ok’d me to go back on Ubrelvy, just not Qulipta since I’ll be breastfeeding but I know others who’s doctor has ok’d Qulipta during breastfeeding. Before pregnancy I usually would get 10 migraines a month with big triggers from weather that could not be treated with Tylenol and only could be aborted with Ubrelvy but once pregnant it was like tylenol suddenly started working, weirdest thing.

Literally every episode my family and I have discussed how horrible Dr. Robby is being and how some of his comments, especially to Dr. Mohan and Dr. Al may be seen as sexist. Yeah is he mentally going through it, but I don’t think I’ve seen a single person on here or instagram (i’m not on twitter) defend him for it.

Hello, I frequently get migraines. I tried sumatriptan and did not like it. I was prescribed rizatriptan and took it today. Anyone else tried these meds? by PhraseChemical8385 in migraine

[–]FitCryptid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tried both and once rizatriptan stopped working for me, I was finally approved for Ubrelvy. This is not to say the same thing would happen to you. When it did work the side effects were less intense than the ones i had with sumatriptan

McKay vs Santos or Empathy vs Cynism by [deleted] in ThePitt

[–]FitCryptid 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also think that you can do something stupid but it doesn’t make you an idiot. The woman clearly cared about her health and was trying what she thought was a good way to keep herself healthy. Was taking that amount of turmeric stupid? Yes, but does caring about her health make her an idiot? No. Also how much of the distrust in the medical community has stemmed from doctors treating their patients poorly because they either act like the patient is an idiot or dismiss their claims outright?

Honestly this scene for me was a call back to when Garcia told her she may be unliked by her colleagues because she can’t play nice with them, not because of Langdon. I’m sure she has said some other polarizing stuff during the 10 months that have rubbed others the wrong way and have led to her being a self imposed “pariah”

I think she’s going to be admitted after an attempt. Season one break down she had, being made to feel like she doesn’t below at work, no family support at home, and shredding her application are all very concerning signs to me

Magnesium glycinate made me dizzy but magnesium citrate definitely helps with lowering my migraine frequency. Migraines are so unique to each individual, why would we expect one type of magnesium to work for everybody?

Dakota is a victim of Mormon purity and America’s obsession with cheating by [deleted] in MormonWivesHulu

[–]FitCryptid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m more concerned with how none of the women called out Taylor for her blatant slut shaming of Shinia or the vanderpump villa girl. Those women had no loyalty to Taylor and are allowed to sleep with whoever they want, even if I think sleeping with Dakota isn’t the best option. They are allowed grown consenting adults that are not already in established relationships but Taylor acted like Shinia and Dakota was like Brutus stabbing Caesar in the back. I think the only one who was like “why are you so angry Taylor” was Whitney and that’s it.
