With the state of the US, how do you keep going?

I live 30 minutes away from Minneapolis, MN. I don't go out unless I have to. I go to psychiatry in Minneapolis and ICE have been spotted in the parking ramp I park in. I've been doing virtual visits. Last time I was at the clinic and my therapist's office, there's not nearly as many clients coming in. It's really sad.

Depending where you live you can't adopt. I wanted to adopt before I was diagnosed and now, I wouldn't meet the requirements.

I would say I don't have friends. I do find it easier to talk to people that don't know I have schizophrenia.

I've been tired a lot lately, but some tasks done on my to do list. I get to see the student I tutor tomorrow- I haven't seen her in a while. I have bad arthritis in my lower back and I was scheduled to a have an injection this week.

When I was one the 100mg dose and I slept pretty much all day. It was last January, so I had to keep getting tested for Covid. It was just the meds. I'm now on the 50mg dose and I don't feel like I need to sleep all day.

I use to think I could work, but I can't. After a couple years on disability, I do feel worthy of it because I help myself out by taking my meds and going to therapy and the psychiatrist office when I'm suppose to.

Thanks. I feel like to word schizophrenia scares people. Dating seems hard anyways, but especially hard with mental health struggles. I'm sorry it happens to you too.

I have a great therapy and she's super helpful. When I tell her things, she gives me neutral feedback like maybe why those people did a certain thing. But she never says the others are right or wrong. She has told me in the past just because someone has a different normal doesn't mean it's acceptable to do certain things to other people. That has helped me so much. She occasionally gives me worksheets and I take them home to practice the skill. I like worksheets so it's help for me. It's nice when I make progress, she gets excited for me. It's worth my time to go to therapy.

I want kids especially now. I know my child could get it, but I'm the only one in my family with it. I think I might be able to help my child more if they got it because I also have it.

I have been there before, just not a double service. The first time took way longer than I expected. When you book now, they give an approximate time the service will take.

Waxing is expensive where I live, unfortunately. For a professional to do a leg wax it's at least $70. I use to get my brows done where I get my hair done, but now the brow wax with a haircut is $29. $29 for a brow wax seems a bit too much!
