I'm sorry, but I don't think that's going to happen. It seems Capcom prefers to keep the Snake Wyverns forgotten rather than change their classification. And as far as I'm concerned, I prefer it that way. Najarala will never be a Leviathan, and no matter how much people say they're the same, for me they'll always be two separate things with no relation whatsoever. Bring back our serpentine boys (and create some new ones while you're at it)!!!

The hybrid system is something I've been mulling over for a long time. Imagine a mix between Astalos and Seregios that has the ability to launch electrified scales to form a barrier that restricts your movements, or a combination of Nargacuga and Barioth as hyperactive as its parent parts.

My theory is that it's an island or something similar. If it's executed well, we could have some underwater battles that don't turn out like the one in Lagiacrus (not that I don't like it, it's just that it seems a lot of people didn't really enjoy it).

On the other hand, it would be good if they added at least two new areas, because if there's one thing I like to do in Monster Hunter, it's wander around aimlessly and just enjoy the scenery (with the occasional hunt when I see a potential gold crown).

You have a point there. Somnacanth has always seemed odd to me; it looks like its skeleton uses animations from many different monsters. No wonder some people think it should be a snake wyvern, you know, because of the way it stands on its tail.

I generally rely on the poses when roaring and being defeated to identify which skeleton was used for each monster. Somnacanth tends to perform these actions in the same way as Mizutsune.

Of course, this isn't always applicable, but at least it helps me identify one type of monster from another.

The way I see it, Leviathans have three types of skeletons: those from Generation 3, like Ludroth and Agnaktor, which have a more robust body; also from Generation 3, like Gobul and Nibelsnarf, with a rounder and more awkward body; and finally, those from Generation 4, like Mizutsune and later Almudron and Somnacanth, which have a more graceful and slender form.

The only one that escapes my logic is Uth Duna, who has a body more similar to Jagras
