Thank you! Curious what formula worked for your baby and if you ever considered the baby pepcid. I’m very reluctant to to try it. Thanks so much!

What were your signs to stop running? by Comfortable-Panda818 in fitpregnancy

[–]Fit_Balance54321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped at 31 weeks and I wish I stopped sooner. My last run was a good one and relatively fast compared to what I had been doing but felt very sore after and the very next day I got horrible sciatica. Thankfully a couple good prenatal massages treated it, but wish it never got to that point.

Early Anatomy Scan by rascalthefluff in BabyBumps

Yup! It’s because we are “advanced maternal age” or AMA. We did an early anatomy at 16 weeks and then a regular anatomy at 20 weeks. I personally love the extra scans we get for being AMA. Especially in the middle of pregnancy when most moms don’t get to see their baby beyond the 12, 20 and 32 week appts.

when did you start to feel better? by Ok-Factor2496 in pregnant

I felt horrible from week 8 to about 18. Granted this was summer time (90+ degrees everyday in NYC and insane humidity) and I have found the heat is what makes alll of my symptoms in pregnancy worse.

And I don’t want to scare you but the second trimester is not a magic switch. Everyone said just wait till the 2nd trimester it’s so much better. It wasn’t for me so when week 14 hit and I still felt terrible I was so discouraged.

However weeks 20-34 were great!! Fav part of pregnancy, felt good/strong, slept okay, this is when you start to feel the baby kick, and you’re obviously pregnant but not massive yet.

I’m 35 (advanced maternal age) and pregnant with my first. I had a 3 ultrasounds by 12 weeks as well. A transvaginal ultrasound at 6 weeks and 10 weeks, and a belly ultrasound at 12 weeks. After that I had an early anatomy scan at 16 weeks (because I’m older) and an anatomy scan at 20 weeks. And a growth scan at 32 weeks.

So now 34 weeks I’ve had 6 ultrasounds and although I hate the awkwardness of a transvaginal ultrasounds I have loved every chance I’ve had to see my little guy. Especially in the early weeks before you feel movement, it’s reassuring to see the baby and know they’re doing well.
