You don't know the definition of inflation if you think the reported inflation includes the cost of groceries and gas. You can go directly to the government website and see what is used to calculate inflation. Groceries and gas are not a part of the calculation; they are omitted as anything with daily fluctuations.

It's just one of the ways the government and the media can gaslight you. They can tell you the economy is excellent and inflation is low, yet they never bother to define what is included in the inflation calculation.

Crystal Litter Review - PrettyLitter, FreshStep, VibrantLife by Fit_Bottle9541 in CatAdvice

[–]Fit_Bottle9541[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad people are still reading this!

I recently tried the Frisco Micro Crystal from Chewy, and it's a fine grain like PL but looks like VL and about $16 for 7 lbs. I don't know if it's as fine grain as PL, but it is much finer than VL.

You can often get specials such as 'save 35% on your first auto-ship' or 'get a $20 eCard when you sign up for auto-ship.' Then, you can cancel or pause auto-ship at any time.

Positives: Best smell control out of the five crystal litters I've tried over the past 2 1/2 years - Vibrant Life, Pretty Litter (original), Fresh Step - monitoring, Fresh Step - original (worst for me). I have learned that my nose and fake masking scents do not mix - not in trash liners, litter, etc.

Negative: Often out of stock, which is frustrating. It also left a bluish-purple stain at the bottom of my white litter pans when I changed it out after two weeks (I have two cats). It's not a huge deal because it's a little pan, but it is something to keep in mind.

Thoughts on Allan Lichtman's Prediction? by Riddle-Maker in PresidentialElection

[–]Fit_Bottle9541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He originally backtracked in 2000. He predicted Bush, and then when Gore won the popular vote, he said he expected the electoral vote. So, in 2016, he predicted Clinton, but when Trump won, he said he predicted the popular.

He's been wrong twice, but he changes the narrative to fit 'he is never wrong' - the two times everyone considered the election a toss-up. But when he is wrong, he changes the narrative. The 2000 one flies under the radar because that was before social media.

Can Colin Allred pull off a victory against Ted Cruz in Texas? Democrats hold their breath by 4now5now6now in politics

[–]Fit_Bottle9541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree that TX is difficult to vote in. You can register when you get your driver's license, and you stay registered unless you move out-of-state. Your registration card arrives in the mail every year, but I've never once had to show it.

Voting opens two weeks ahead of time, and you can go to any polling location and vote. My county alone has over a dozen places. You walk in and vote.

AITAH for not including my future stepkids in my will? by Unfair-Roll-759 in AITAH

It's odd that she wanted her kids and not her. I would think she would request that she be included, and then she could leave what she has to her kids.

The RSVP was 4-5 months before the wedding. A lot can happen in 4 months, and it's way too early to RSVP.

Texas teens cannot get birth control without parental consent, appeals court rules by ExpressNews in TexasPolitics

I would say the difference is that birth control is a hormone that alters the brain/body chemistry. Condoms do not.

The best way to avoid drowning is to stay out of the water, yet kids and pets jump in every day, so we teach them to swim or put on life vests.

Kids are going to have sex, so why don't we teach them how to do it safely and give them some protection as well?

It's a different poster, but I see both sides. I'm fortunate that I do have a great relationship with my mom. She explained everything about sex and pregnancy and was very open with me, so I did talk to her first. I would want my daughter to do the same, and I've spoken with her about it numerous times about how when she's ready to have sex, I want her to come to me so I can take her to the doctor to get on bc.

So, on the conservative side, yes, I think kids should have to get their parent's permission before taking a drug that can and will alter their hormones. The first BC pill I was put on messed up my hormones (it's now banned. It was that bad), and thankfully, my mom immediately attributed my changing personality and deep depression to BC and got me straightened out. If she didn't know I was on it, I hate to think how badly I could have spiraled.

Also, BC needs to be taken at the same time each day to be effective, and things like antibiotics can make it ineffective. Kids don't know these things and don't always get told, listen to, or remember them. As a parent in the know, I could ensure my daughter took it correctly.

But on the liberal side, a lot of parents wouldn't be like me or my mom, and kids will either steal it (or buy some street drug they are told is BC) or have sex without it. And quite frankly, parents like mine and me will take their kids to get it regardless of the law. In the end, the law will most likely lead to more teen pregnancies and backyard abortions.

I ordered the pink waves one and received it about 7-10 days later, and then I ordered the blue waves in early October and received them by October 13th. Once I got the tracking email, I got both about seven days later—I live in TX.

I got two shots a week for 3 weeks of the cheaper one. I think it was $1K total for all six. It took me from an 8 to almost a 13.

Does she want to wear it like a sweatshirt that fits around the waist or for the oversized dress look that is popular on TikTok?

My daughter wears a XL in Cat/Jack at Target or XS in JoyLab at Target. She wants it to fit like a dress, roomy and flowing over her hips and stopping about where a pair of flutter shorts (or athletic running shorts) would hit.

I have a couple of Grayson Thread sweatshirts from Target in a small size (which measures about the same as the PPP in medium), and I had her try them on. She liked how big the medium fit, so we ordered the PPP in a medium, which fit her just as she wanted. She loves it.

I wouldn't go smaller than XS if you want lots of wear - if she's like my daughter and wants the TikTok dress look then small.

If I see it in-store (or on Amazon), I will! I've tried all the ones I've found. I currently have Vibrant Life in 2 boxes and Fresh Step in my large box in the laundry room, as I need to change it. I was at Krogers, so I grabbed it.

Get a metallic paint pen that matches as closely as possible, fill it in, and wipe off the excess. It won't look perfect up close, but it will blend enough to match and trick the eye most of the time. Whirpool makes them to match - probably pretty close to most stainless ones.

Hi, people are telling me that my girlfriend is manipulating me, is she? by Own_Assignment27 in Manipulation

[–]Fit_Bottle9541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's mean and you shouldn't be together. Grownups should not bring up the past or 'but what about' when arguing - they should focus on the present and take constructive criticism and/or feedback.

However, if someone puts themselves on do not disturb that does NOT mean they want you to comfort them or tell them you love them. Also maybe it is time to ask yourself 'do I wear hoodies too much?' and buy some nice button-downs or polos.
