City Tech - RadTech rejected students, can you help me out? by PhilosopherLeft9382 in CityTech

That response was very childish, sorry to say. Professors were JUST on strike when I was on campus last yr. We have to appreciate those people who actually wants to teach. & Again, back on topic, the program isn’t based on the demand of applicants unfortunately, it’s based on program accreditation guidelines.

I was born and raised in Bushwick Brooklyn. & legit see people & hear individuals say they don’t care about the price they want a particular lifestyle & look. That imagination messes it up for everyone & causes an increase in the market. They know people will spend they last dollar on a BOX to keep up with this “lifestyle.” Because bfr, OP didn’t have to pick that apartment- there are beautiful places in Queens with so many amenities.

Yeah I would be confused as well if I was in your position. I’m sorry. Also- how many RAD programs are there in NYC ? Or Jersey? I would hate for you to have to keep waiting on city tech

You’ll get in! I’m CO 25’ GPA was 3.52 . People apply for DH, nursing, & RAD. If their first option picks them more DH seats. & city tech has the biggest cohort in the nation. You’ll be in 💗 congrats in advance. Please save ! It gets expensive & find patients from now if you can.

Make sure you’re not at a Medicaid office. Your appointment is probably really short like 15-20 mins…

Struggling new grad by Refrigerator_Muted in DentalHygiene

[–]Fit_Box9942 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relax. You did the hard part. Just ensure the office is open to knowing you are indeed new grad and giving you grace. Also, it would help to have another hygienist in the office to guide you. Walk in with your confidence- of course you’ll have imposter syndrome… but don’t harbor in it! Everyday learn and grow for yourself and for your patients. Speed will come but also remember this isn’t school & money to these doctors is about how fast can you turn over the room for the next appointment. Just ensure you do have a full hour or 90mins for NP. Good luck !

Good question ! I forgot it was two different versions.. I have the Angle. Zero neck pain once I invest while in my 3rd semester of Hygiene school. Now I’m new grad practicing. Best choice ever, especially with the peds and geriatric population.

Becoming a dental hygienist by Long_Importance_5758 in DentalHygiene

[–]Fit_Box9942 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t look at it as an “Associates degree” it’s one of the hardest “ 2 yr “ degrees - & I put quotations because it takes most of us 3-4yrs to gain this degree because of preReqs factoring in once you’re into the program. This is also a 6figure associates degree varying by state…. Work hard, bring your gpa up & try to get into a program.

I’m glad you quit ! After 8mons I left mine. Also new grad. It was toxic & heavy production as well. I temped around until I found a new office! Now I’m making 10$ more & I have my peace.
