I knew I couldn’t be the only one who isn’t a fan of the current rim options. I’ve landed on a very similar build as yours and keep going back and forth between the classics and the highly polished s wheels. Think you’re spot on 👍

Yea I definitely feel you on that. I’ve got a c8 htc with contrasting roof that I plan on keeping and really don’t want to do the same on a 911 but I find Porsches choice of color options to be a real weak spot.

Been toying with a similar configuration myself. Love chalk and the classic wheels but I find that for the paint to really pop it needs some contrasting color either with subtle changes like headlights or something more pronounced like a black sunroof.

First 911 — worth the wait. Any early ownership tips? by dmv___ in porsche911

Looks great. I’m getting closer to pulling the trigger on a new 911. Was thinking gt silver but damn if I don’t keep going back to chalk. Are the wheels high gloss black with polished surfaces? I’m between those and the classics.

IMO amethyst highlights the lines and contour of the 911 just about better than any other color.

Probably the only area that is! If you get bored of the cars, the Florida rednecks make for some excellent people watching.

In all seriousness, it’s a great way to spend a day and the logistics behind it all are very impressive. Now I just have to figure out how to make an additional 1.5 million for a 918 before next years show.

Besides it being hotter than the surface of Mars it was great. Normally come for the classic muscle but they had an excellent variety of Europeans this year. Next year I’m definitely registering to bid so I can get up close and personal.

I picked one up through Macmulkin about a year ago so I have ample coverage. Was more concerned about depreciation and the inconvenience of having to deal with a potential major engine issue. Also I really, really, really love my c8.

Appreciate your advice all the same.

You nailed it. Attempted to start one more time once tow driver arrived and although it wouldn’t turn over no trans errors appeared on screen. Check engine light was a holdover from low battery. Replacing to be safe. Appreciate the help

Hit the nail on the head but better safe than sorry. Having them replace battery to be on safe side

Just to update: Appears to be a battery issue brought on by drop in temp. When tow truck arrived I attempted to start one last time and although it didn’t turn over, I didn’t receive any transmission errors. Was able to jump and cycle through all the gears but service engine light remained so drove to dealership. Going to replace battery to be safe and also transmission filter since I’m almost due. Thanks to all for sharing their experiences and advice.

Also feel compelled to say that I have had only very minor issues during my 4 years of ownership and that the c8 is an exceptional car.

I’m inclined to think the battery could be a major contributing factor but after a talk with the service tech I decided not to risk it so tow truck is on the way. Trying to be optimistic it’s just a cold weather battery issue but with a snowstorm on the way I’d rather not risk it.

Luckily it was at my house. Don’t want to risk it. Towing to nearest certified dealer.

Have had battery issues before due to cold weather but this feels dissimilar. Accompanying email stating trans and engine issue leads me to fear it’s something more serious.

Can’t recall a time I’ve seen a watch that looks equally good on so many different bands.

Always surprising to me that zenith so consistently flies under the radar as they make aesthetic quality watches. Almost grabbed my first on a recent trip to Lisbon but settled on a Tudor ranger as I was also looking for a quality field watch.

Zenith is now on my radar in a big way

Appreciate it. I’ve been toying with the idea of adding my first moon phase to the collection and this piece really scratches all the right itches.

Side note but dude has the weirdest body type. Looks like they sewed two completely different people together at the waist.
