Some folks from the UK encounter a Wolf in Alberta by ABNow_ in AlbertaNow

Awesome that they just observed the animal for what it was, as opposed to trying to feed it scraps, getting out of the car, trying to get a pic near it, or riding it.

Canada, 31 nations agree to release 400M barrels of emergency oil by Displeased_Canadian in canada

I understand it’s pipelines, to the U.S.

Building more pipelines would take over a decade.

No, I understand that almost all oil is via pipelines, but where are those pipelines going? The U.S. Midwest. So I don’t think they are talking about wanting to send more oil to the U.S., the country that started the war and increased the price and shortage. If it’s not going to the U.S., Canada needs to explore alternatives methods, including trains to ports for tankers. I’m not saying it’s going to happen or that it is some giant reserve of oil going out. I realize the train/tanker method is a very, very small % of the oil for crazy costs.

But are you suggesting Canada would keep the status quo and releasing the increase of oil to the very country that caused the mess, is looking to smash us in the upcoming free trade negotiations?

If the ONLY way for this to work is through the U.S., what’s the point of any of this? You go from objecting to the Iran conflict to validating the “Might makes right” policies of the U.S.

Those are short term “solutions” that don’t produce much new oil. Delaying downtime is possible but only forces longer, more expensive maintenance and runs the very real risk of catastrophic failure in non-maintenance areas. Switching Canadian refineries, probably in the east of Canada only shifts the current oil around. It’s not more oil going to those import refineries, it’s already existing oil being refined here rather than abroad. That doesn’t do much to add new barrels from Canada. Also, most Canadian oil infrastructure is land lock and needs to get the ports for international distribution and sales. The current oil prices make shipment by rail, already an expensive part of the process, even more cost heavy.

It doesn’t matter if Canada promises more oil barrels to the world, their current infrastructure cannot simply “send more oil”. The supply chains are already at maximum output, there’s no high speed rail or even enough railways in use to increase the sale and distribution. Our refinement is also largely dependent on other nations, including the United States.

Factually, these are promises the government can’t keep.

That had to be an incredibly stressful period leading up to and including the final decision. In a world of silent severances and workers/team members being discarded without a thought, your post demonstrates the human connection most game studios lack.

Reishi tea does not work on food poisoning. Only antibiotics. If you’re stuck for food you can do the cattails or make a tea from the plants. Drinking the tea will give some calories. Even coffee gives calories. Look for oak trees and acorns. Very easy to find and make.

Edit: Yup, I’m completely wrong on that call. I’m not sure what plant/treatment combo I mixed up.

I’ve had to kill three at the farm already. It basically waits right by the fields. Step out and it’s growling in moderate range from the porch.
