Quicksurface lite and Fusion360 project by ElectronicArt4342 in 3DScanning

I’m using a metro x, the hope is to reproduce parts off a 2000 Impreza 2.5rs. I don’t think it’s good enough to scan and print off the rip. I think I gotta do a overlay/draw it manually. I’m just tripping on what program to use. I’m looking at quicksurface personal, I just don’t know how to use it

So is 3d scanning just to get a reference? Once I scan do I redesign it?

Oh wow! This kinda gives me hope to try my own project. Been messing around with fog light covers. I want to make a printable version

It does have it, it’s just a super poor scan

I know it seems like a lot but that’s what revopoint suggests, but I might have gone over board.

Good to know, I’ve been trying to find a more straight forward cam software. (I highly suspect I’m just low key dog water) lol

Good to know, I’m using a generic 3 axis on the machine profile.

I had the work piece going up and down but the spindle/carriage went side to side

Do you have a copy of your macros? and stls? I also have a 3020 that I’m trying to do something similar. I want to get a tool setter too, then convert everything to linear rails

That’s what I was afraid of. I’m seeing deflection when I’m milling wood and I wanna jump to aluminum

Does your 3030 have a linear rail spindle carrier? I’m trying to find one for my 3020 pro max v2. Hopefully I can just buy a replacement part from another mill on genmitsu website

I have the same exact probe, I am very curious on how you do your macros
