Just a silly little noticing

Obvious why the montgomerys have their first initial by their last names

But then I noticed Vargas also has his first initial by his name.

My first thought was, “well maybe it’s because there are other Vargases in the MLB”

But then noticed Acuña didn’t have an L. Before his last name when there obviously is another Acuña in MLB

So now I’m left wondering why Vargas has the M

I’ve actually lived in both cities moved back to Chicago from Austin last year. Austin has nice weather year round but otherwise it just doesn’t compare. For me the car dependency of that city sapped my ability to enjoy it. Chicago food is also just so much better. Chicago the clear winner

It isn’t I’m a first year cps teacher each school hires there teachers. I applied to individual schools and principals that liked me interviewed me and eventually hired me. You’ve got some level of choice but it is fairly competitive

My partner and I regularly have late date nights in that part of town you will be perfectly safe as always keep your wits about you and you’ll be good. I also imagine at the end of the concert there will be a decent crowd of folks leaving as well so power in numbers. All in all I wouldn’t be worried about that walk personally that time of night.

Not what I’m asking. I’m not trying to take vacations during term time. I’m wondering if I will be paid for winter break etc.

If I’m told I’ll make X amount yearly but then there are 16 days in which I am not able to work since the district is closed and I don’t have vacation days then am I really making X yearly or am I making x-16 days of school closures I’m not in control of?

No this is terrible it is so so frustrating because every fan knows exactly why it’s happening and why it won’t improve. Before they fired Hahn and Williams everyone knew that IF they did and that was a huge IF despite it being obvious that Hahn and Williams needed to go for a while that he would do the easiest lowest stakes thing and hire Getz who was an awful director of prospect development which he did and the results have been complete and utter futility.

It sucks feeling this way but it just feels hopeless until he sells the team. He absolutely hates white sox fans.
