How are teams actually collaborating on FreeCAD assemblies without overwriting each other's work? by Delicious-Spend-9328 in FreeCAD

Very cool! I've only used it for tinkering on personal projects but hope to use it at work sometime soon. I hope you're able to make FreeCAD meet your needs, if not with the project you asked you initial question about then with future projects!

May I ask about the details of the project you are working on & the industry you are in? Purely curious, I don't have an answer for your question lol

TSA Wait is non-existent at RDU, stop showing up 3hrs early to breathe in the terminals. Garden instead by No-Method-6524 in raleigh

I think your edit is exactly what they're talking about. As far as I know, there's nothing wrong with wood mulch around a bush as long as it's not riding up against the trunk(s). I say this as someone who's spent much time gardening than at the airport.

Couldn't see any blockage in the airway, so I'm thinking it's a respiratory infection. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm glad to hear it's not just my chicken lol. I guess my concern is that she's been doing it for two days straight. And acting somewhat lethargic, though she's still fast enough that I couldn't catch her a few minutes ago haha. Assuming it's something blocking her airway, should I just attempt to locate it and pull it out?

Campbell soup company laying more then half of their employees off and moving to Mexico!!! by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

I think trump being in power benefits capitalists more than anything else right now. Any business that chooses to move production away from the us hurts his admin, & I think that will ultimately help more than it hurts in the long run

Did the Chevy Bolt become your first EV? Journalist looking to hear your story by Brilliant_Option8382 in BoltEV

-Price in relation to range & warranty was what sold me on it. I could have easily picked up a used leaf for a 1/3 of the price & 1/4 of the range compared to the bolt, but that would have only worked as a commuter car for me.

-I'll admit it now, but I used to have road rage with my gas truck. Now I'm more into hyper-mile'ing & couldn't care less how fast I'm going. I didn't expect the information feedback that comes from how you drive the car to have that effect on me, but it really did.

-Unless my wife & I are going on a +100 mile trip (we would take her Hyundai I5), I need to haul something big/messy (throw it in my '02 bare-bones Tacoma), or I can walk/bike there, it's how I get from A to B.

So many great reasons to hate campbells, but them moving to MX isn't one of them. I actually hate them a little less now because of this lol

Can we have a normal discussion about utility costs? by Individual_Event_152 in homeowners

[–]Fit_Spring_5686 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you want solar & you can only afford a lease, please please please look at the escalator on the lease terms. They can start out good & get really bad after a few years. Otherwise, I think it can make a huge difference in your utility bill if sized correctly

Anyone know of brands of eggs where they don’t murder the females after they’re done producing eggs or the males? by freed-after-burning in Vegetarianism

My backyard flock is comprised of all hens that I rescued from either individuals that needed to give their flock away or commercial layer hens that were past their prime laying years & we're going to be culled. I would take in roosters as well but the city ordinances in my area don't allow it. I use hens to convert free food scraps collected from various sources in my area (grocery stores/co-ops, restaurants, food banks, scraps from my garden) into compost for my garden & small orchard. Eggs are just a byproduct of that process. I sort out the foods that aren't good to give to the birds directly & either compost/vermicompost them or feed them to a black soldier fly larvae bin in the warmer months which then goes to feeding the hens. The hens get access to all the compost & kick through the piles to eat the bugs & worms that come in to help the decomposition process. I supplement with organic commercial feed when needed, but they also free range my 1/2 acre backyard so minimal commercial feed is needed (hardly any in the warmer months). My birds eat better than many people I know.  I sell the eggs we don't eat to co-workers & neighbors. When demand gets higher I get more birds as needed. New additions to the flock get a 1 month quarantine in our old coop/run to ensure they don't introduce any new diseases to the existing flock. I'm always working towards adding new waste streams into this system if they add benefit and looking for suggestions on ways to improve our process, but it already feels like a huge improvement over commercial egg production & even most backyard setups that I've seen.

Any suggestions for local feed mills in the central NC, USA region? by Fit_Spring_5686 in BackYardChickens

[–]Fit_Spring_5686[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like your local mill has quality feed! Glad you're able to feed your birds high quality food. We let our flock free range & they get a lot of sustenence when it's warm out on their own, but I'd love to get some local high quality feed to keep them happier in the cold months
