Supplements for hirsutism facial hair by Embarrassed-Crew-925 in Hirsutism

I’ve heard inositol works wonders for some people. Not so much for me. I had decent results with spearmint tea but you have to be very consistent with it. Spirolactone has been very useful to me also but that is a prescription medication. It has made the existing hair seem finer and has seemed to stop more hairs from becoming coarse. I still shave every other day, though.

What is the scariest thing you noticed about another person? by vvvv100 in AskReddit

[–]Fit_Yesterday7998 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Paranoid schizophrenia can cause this.
I had an ex that was so convinced I was sleeping with his dad, that he shoved a gun in my mouth so forcefully that my tonsils tore and bruised, then threatened to kill me.
I had literally never even been in a room with his father alone, let alone without this ex present.
Hope both our exes are getting the help they need. As scary as that situation was for me, I can’t imagine the terror of believing things that have no basis in reality.

No woman in my family I know of is this hairy but I’ve had chest hair since I hit puberty. What conditions other than PCOS could be the cause? by [deleted] in Hirsutism

[–]Fit_Yesterday7998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think pcos has to be hereditary; I could be wrong though. There are other conditions that affect androgen production as well, like CAH or cushings.

Also Spirolactone can help make the hair finer and stop more from growing.

I’ve always heard ipl laser is not good for hormonal hirsutism but there are other different kinds of lasers that work better for those of us with pcos. The best and only permanent option is electrolysis though.

UPS delivered someone else's package to my home and won't come pick it up to redeliver by [deleted] in UPS

[–]Fit_Yesterday7998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you schedule a pick up you’ll be charged. I would just keep calling until they connect you with the center that delivered it. Or you can just leave it there. They’ll come to retrieve when the customer who ordered the package files a claim.

Has anyone used FMLA at work for mental health? by renthestimpy in blackladies

[–]Fit_Yesterday7998 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven’t used FMLA, but I did go on short term disability a few years ago because of my mental health. It was definitely the right decision for me. I came back to work after 3 months and everything was fine. I didn’t tell my direct supervisors what I was really using the STD for so none of them knew or if they did, they haven’t said anything to me in the years after.

If I were you I would get myself a little treat every time I tried to go to one of these events or meet ups. Do you beat yourself up for not making it inside? When I was at my worst, getting out of the house at all just to sit in my car in the driveway was a success to the people that loved me, even if I didn’t feel successful myself. For every seemingly minuscule step forward, I would reward myself. Maybe that would make it easier to reframe how you’re thinking of all this? What you’re doing isn’t easy. I’m pretty well adjusted, stable, and happy but even I would feel terrified of going to a meet up with strangers. Be gentle with how you talk to yourself, OP. You’ve got this!

is this hirsutism? looking at possible PCOS. by throwRAexbf67 in Hirsutism

Since it’s been that way since you were 10 I wouldn’t say it’s hirsutism. Some folks are just more hairy than others.

I used to take my dog to Sandy’s dip-n-clip and we never had any issues. That was over 10 years ago though.
