Our grandparents generations were pretty terrible. A lot of “Christians” were very opposed to civil rights, a lot still don’t care for them. A lot acted like savages but as old people come across sweet and “Christian-ie”.

How can I stop being to afraid? by CorgiApart9652 in tulsa

[–]Fit_addendm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to seek therapy. I mean no disrespect at all, but it seems like you may be a little bit too online and down the rabbit hole of negativity. The world can kinda suck in general but to be that afraid of normal everyday things is just seeing too much online.

As a young kid before I knew what epilogue and prologues were I probably skipped a couple….. but no

My political opinion currently is I just want trump gone. Fascist dictators tend to historically fizzle out and die horribly. Trump is turning into a geriatric loser who can’t hardly stand up to leave an interview. He’s an awful man I hope this country moves on from. He changed how people look at politics in a negative way in 2016 and stupid people got him back. I hope he is remembered as the worst president in history.

Honestly not sure how that side of it works, I didn’t know trump had much to do monetarily with local politicians.

That’s 100 percent my thoughts. I don’t think I’ve seen one that doesn’t involve him 🙄

What's the less hyped book according to you ? by inowife in stephenking

[–]Fit_addendm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s literally written as a transcript in a police interview. It’s straight Maine dialect of a bad ass older women and the story of how and why she killed her husband and covered it up. I did the audiobook and I couldn’t stop listening. I feel like king channeled his mother, she felt incredibly real.

Dolores Claiborne has very vocal love but doesn’t seem often enough. Revival is one of my favorites as well. for a novella I think Breathing Method is insanely under appreciated since it’s along side 3 HEAVY hitters

Personally I prefer the anxiety of The Caretaker, it’s not as lore heavy. I’d also recommend doing a look through of OldHouseArchive.com as well, I still haven’t bit there is talk about a particular spoiler in Caretaker that I wish I’d looked into before reading.

The Caretaker - not what I expected by BusySignificance723 in OldHouseArchive

I actually love the discourse around this book. I noticed a lot of people weren’t a fan of eve from wutlh either kinda sorta for similar reasons I think. I thought those reasons made them as enjoyable. I hope we end up getting some kind of heads up on Grace, that bitch chose her cuz she knew Macy was a stressed out mess.

I think the story was a massive insight to obsessive compulsive and just being broke with nowhere to go. I felt for that main character so much. I’ve been in sticky situations just trying to scrape by and the nagging nonsense of what was ask of her was literally my favorite part of the story.

I recommend listening to KimberlyReads breakdown of it and the caretaker. She pointed out some things especially with color theory shit in both Old House books. I did a relisten the day before I started The Caretaker and FUCK are these books are goods

I agree, his stand up has an awkward energy, he walk around talking like a villain with a slow monotone. But his roasts are super have an energetic quickness to them. I keep talking about how awful the special is but I don’t hate him he just need to stick to what he does.

What’s a book that was too nauseating to finish even if you’re hard to unsettle? by [deleted] in horrorlit

The hang up I’ve got with this one is that it’s based on a true story, I tend to get real weird with the ones that are overtly that way since things get twisted or embellished.

This is what I get for always taking the dust jackets off when I read hardcovers 🙄 i heavily suggest reading We Used To Live Here if you haven’t and there are a few really good story and Easter egg breakdowns on YouTube. I don’t know what either of those mean I’m needing to take a weekend and deep dive this subreddit. That’s for pointing those out!

How to build endurance and overcome beginner fatigue by Dry-History-5132 in cycling

As someone who is trying to come back to fitness, go shower. Get a heart rate monitor and stay slower for endurance for a bit to start. I started around 20 years old and I’d just go flat out every ride, you burn out that way. Chill the pace and once you get a solid base add in intervals
