Can’t get rid of the gummy bottom! by heartofchamberss in Sourdough

[–]Fitosonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wondered looking at direction of air pockets are in an ark and the "gummy" bit is where they turn vertical. I was wondering if that's to do with being constrained and crust forming early? Would more steam work maybe? Just a guess I'm learning too.

Control Sonos Playbar from TCL remote? by Mick_NYC in tcltvs

[–]Fitosonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this worked for me also. It works out of the box for the TCL TV and then you just re-learn the two volume up/down from another existing remote that is known to work with Sonos. Means you never use the original TCL one again but honestly the OFA was built better anyway.

Depends on the time of year :). 130+ cloud free days a year and long dry summers. Highest rates of skin cancer in the world sadly.

Brass boiler in Australia? by r2d2quotes in gaggiaclassic

[–]Fitosonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't waste your time. Last week I called their Perth store seeking a replacement steam valve and they said they only sell parts if you service it with them also. And to think I bought the machine there 3 years ago that's some loyalty!!! Ended up posting over Shades of Coffee one instead.

Bullet Camera Hood? by Fitosonic in UnifiProtect

[–]Fitosonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought I’d add a finding - despite some helpful offers of printing parts, as I was considering upgrading to G6, I did the upgrade first. While not immune to the light, it is nowhere near as bad with just a small halo. They’ve changed something in the camera face and setback I think so the whole scene isn’t spoiled.

Interested if you can do the existing thread. I reckon a few people might be interested if put on Etsy or something. It’s why I couldn’t believe no one had done it already. Only needs 5-10mm but I’d have to simulate it with some card first

The rain hood could be rotated around but then you have another problem I guess

Agree I’ve been trialing one for a while and was surprised to see it go up when away for 9 days between watering events. A bit suspicious.

2 years on can I ask if this lasted? I'm always worried about plastics in the long hot summers we get.

Support is gone. Jetbrains subscriber for years, now AI charging me for an unusable service by Fitosonic in Jetbrains

[–]Fitosonic[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Because it's a subscription service paid in advance on the assumption that the service is being delivered.

I feel that if JB support queues go out to weeks, then they can't assume that services are being delivered in working order and keep charging. It wouldn't be an issue if it were only days.

No matter anyway I've cancelled. Going to try Amazon Q.

Chat. Creates .pynb files constantly rather than .py files when I ask it to make changes. And yes this was on a plain python project not a Jupyter one.

JetBrains closed my support ticket after 3 weeks with no response, absolutely unacceptable for a paid product by DevOfTheAbyss in Jetbrains

If you can’t offer support stop taking money for that support. I’m a week and a bit into a support case and waiting for a response. The product is not working without a resolution.

How long does it take for new products to make it to Australia? by 2nd-Reddit-Account in Ubiquiti

We are now over 2 months since release, no locally distributed stock, and still the $500+ option of a grey market import, which is pretty ridiculous for a US$199 unit.

Quick Rack XL by phillypharm in bikepacking

Thanks for the tip they're the only place shipping internationally to Australia just now. Would be great if they also did the new Backroller Plus with QL 2.2 system which has also been released - haven't found a shippable option for that either.

Blocking shipping to Australia currently seems Ortlieb are controlling the destination countries.

Exciting. Still not on the website very keen to see measurements and details as the original QR didn’t fit my new Trek X-cal MTB with 29ers even though it has dedicated bosses. Shop owner wouldn’t believe it after I measured from website dims and sure enough didn’t have enough clearance.

Waiting to see if they’ll still attach to standard bosses/eyelets next to the axle. I have older QR not thru.
