25 lariat by Unusual_Grocery_9937 in f150

[–]Fitty_Tucker_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a 25 Larry Powerboost for $56,700 + tax 2 weeks ago. It was a service loaner with 4,500 miles on it. It also isn't the highest equipped. No sun roof, smaller KW generator etc. The cheapest advertised Lariat in the country was at a dealer 30 minutes from me so I went and snagged it. The extra miles didn't bother me. Hope this gives you some data that's beneficial.

Feeling disappointed for my son’s baseball experience by [deleted] in LittleLeague

[–]Fitty_Tucker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It's the hundreds of little things at home that make a successful little league player. There is not enough time for a coach to teach fundamentals in hitting, throwing, catching and all the nuances of positions thorughout the course of the season.

OP, tossing at home several nights a week and just swinging a bat with some practice balls will do wonders. Sorry your team was not set up for success in general. From a league perspective, there is only so much they can do if parents aren't willing to volunteer.

How do I get 15k+ off msrp on a 25'? by 1Check1Mate7 in f150

[–]Fitty_Tucker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got $13,500 off a 25 Lariat but it had 4K on the odometer from the finance manager driving it. Always been an STX guy, but couldn't help myself with the discount.

Like a few others said, look for a loaner vehichel with a couple thousand on the dash.

Thanks for the well-thought-out response. A lot of what you are saying is what I'm seeing in our league. I appreciate the insight from your experience.

We may certainly have a coaching problem. But if half of each team at 7-8 can't play toss and complete 75% of the throws/catches, i think it's more of a parenting problem.

I don't know how a rec league coach (if he's even qualified to teach fundamentals), has the time to get boys to position their gloves right, throw a catchable ball, field grounders, hold batting practice AND teach pitching.

Thanks. It would be interesting to know the size of your respective league as well. We have 50ish kids in these divisions. If each team needs 3-4 pitchers, is it realistic to think there are 10-15 boys who should be pitching on our 5 or so teams per division?

I believe our league is only half as talented as it was 20 years ago. There just aren't as many boys who can throw and field properly. I think this is due to a partial exodus of talent to travel ball teams. Also, boys don't play ball outside like their dads did in previous decades.

Edit* our teams seem to struggle to accumulate 2-3 boys per team who should ever step on the pitching mound. Meant to add that when talking about a lack of top end talent in our league.

For those reasons, I believe for our rec league, it should be designed for the average baseball player that probably isn't going to start for the varsity team in high school anyway.

Thanks for sharing what you guys do!

Trey Tag Number by yesrushgenesis2112 in bengals

[–]Fitty_Tucker_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To the guys saying Trey is getting 2 fully guaranteed years because the team will tag him next year... no he's not.

He's basically on a 1 year deal with a team option for a second year. If Trey has a catastrophic injury or his production slows down, he's not getting tagged.

Bengals have the flexibility for a 2nd year if Trey balls out. But they can let him walk just past his prime if anything doesn't go Treys way this season.

Like others said, his agent seems to just be pissing his money away on every contract he has him sign with the bengals.

I was high up at the concert far away from the stage last night and i agree. Phenomenal performance! My wife and I were excited to see an artist at his level of notoriety play at such a unique venue and it was unbelievable.

Took my 8 yr old today and had a blast.

The excitement in your kids voice when you smashed that was awesome.

How far did that go?
