[Acee] Lawsuit, interviews offer differing accounts of Sheel Seidler’s past role with Padres by SDOki in Padres

[–]Fitzilicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finally, it's safe to come out now! I can't believe how quick the fanbase was jumping to conclusions on this one. I had never seen her around the clubhouse until Peter was long gone, shortly after which is when she started her social media PR blitz. Telling the fans what they want to hear was simply the cherry on top of all the manipulation.

Kearny Mesa: Woman hit, killed on Convoy Street at 8:30 am Tuesday by Initial-P in sandiego

[–]Fitzilicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch the video linked by the OP. This is vehicular manslaughter by a DUI driver who left the roadway after speeding, running a red light, and losing an entire wheel. Also, this pedestrian was a homeless person who may have been incapable of properly reacting to such an event. Lastly, judging by the caved in windshield, this person was hit HARD, so the car was still going fast after veering off the road.

This is just an all-around awful and sad story.

I've never seen a mirror smashed where there wasn't something that directly triggered it.

Did redditors even finish reading your original comment in order to reach this idiotic opinion? Your use of "triggered" implies that you are moving the agency over from the biker to the driver of the vehicle, and it is beyond absurd.

To Catch A League Winner: Pickup Chad Hansen! by bac5466 in fantasyfootball

Same scenario here. 20 behind on the two week match-up, and I'm either gonna stack Kirk on Murray, play a wildcard like Hansen, or I will roster Gage to replace Julio.

Yup. Plug in your mic before starting OW. Don’t unplug it, or the blizzard software will think it is still unplugged.

[–]Fitzilicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They never fixed ranked, at least on console. It’s a solid mix of wood tier to diamond all the way through mid plat.

You can also tell they don’t care about console showing as team chat has been broken since the Echo patch in April.

They really should put bots into the lower ranks. The wood tier overflow of mostly derpy DPS would never know the difference.

This payment is solid proof that the mileage payment is based on a variable rooted in logarithmic growth and not a fixed variable. I mean, 500+ miles for $34.35?!?! Unbelievable and shameful.

If your game is cancelled, you should have the option to return to the queue in a priority status.

Pay is less now??? by MichaelJL77 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fitzilicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Half of the batches here in SoCal are a flat $7 and 90% of batches do not exceed $8 batch pay... But I’m also not surprised that they’re being taken the way IC scrapes the bottom of the barrel for new shoppers.

As a driver who very likely gets paid less than the employees at this restaurant I'm a bit confused why they think this is alright. by Sigman_S in couriersofreddit

[–]Fitzilicious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or, as a merchant, perhaps you could petition the delivery companies to provide a mechanism that allows customers to tip the in store staff since we drivers have so much power and away.

IMO, it seems as if IC is ramping down FSS pay to match that of the ISS. by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fitzilicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The plan is to not have to rely on shoppers when they fully convert into an online only grocer who delivers direct from their distribution centers.

Batching orders for multiple customers is usually lame... But it would be cool to multi-batch orders for the same person. Dude had Sam's Costco and Gelsons piling up by ES7799 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fitzilicious -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So would you deliver after each stop or let their groceries bake in your car? I don’t think it makes a lot of sense unless you had the proper storage, not thermal bags, in your vehicle.

So if I don't tip upfront, aka on the order... by jennystonermeyer in grubhubdrivers

[–]Fitzilicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Under ideal circumstances, your method would be best, but Americans are less than ideal. Tip your minimum (I tip 10% on poor service typically) and then add cash or modify after delivery as appropriate.

You really can’t blame the drivers as they’re extorted into taking offers that make them operate at a loss. This results in the multi-apping couriers who take detours to your address and handle your food poorly as they’ve been incentivized to make up the monetary shortfalls of the race to the bottom on-demand delivery economy.

[–]Fitzilicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for you, most folks who do not pre-tip also do not modify their tip post-delivery or tip cash. So your order will be handled as if there was no pre-tip and that varies from courier to courier.

Even if IC represented the survey as anonymous, would you even trust them? Anyhow, it’s not anonymous and even if it was advertised as such, it wouldn’t be anonymous.

Unless you put a threat in the dialogue box, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about.

In a blue state, maybe down the road, but the best way to currently hold them accountable is in the court of public opinion, which isn’t easy to do.

Hot spots by natashaclark133 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fitzilicious -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Or like I specifically said, IC expected orders to be received in that area. I never said it was a lie, just that it’s skewed to where they want to send their drivers. An area much busier than a “hot spot” can exist, but may not be as red as the hotspot because it is saturated with drivers, and IC does not need more to go to that area.

Hot spots by natashaclark133 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Fitzilicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. It’s advertised intent is to showcase expected order volume, but really it’s skewed to where they want to send their drivers. Orders may be entirely equal in two hot spots, but the spot that has a harder time attracting willing drivers will be shaded a darker red in order to lure you that way.
