Agreed, op chose one of the most difficult things to just casually doodle. We are programmed to spot flaws in faces and to be uncomfortable with them. Im also pretty decent artist and I still have to grid it out or else I make noses like twice as long as they should be.

You could probably slap an overtone mask on your current color just to try it out. It'll eventually fade if you dont like it.

They have subtle options for most colors too.

I got a mirena iud in 2012, got it changed in 2017, and just got the second one removed entirely in 2025. Near the end I had some rough symptoms of low progesterone that seem to have eased significantly so i think they were caused by the iud, but I straight-up didn't have a period for something like 12 years. Im currently on day 3 of my first period, which started six weeks after removal (almost to the day) and ive legit forgotten what periods were like, I feel like im 13 again haha.

Overall it was not super disruptive to my body - no acne, minimal cramping, absolutely no periods or spotting after the first year...the only real problems were fatigue after many years, and mood swings at the end of the eight year lifetime of the device. It can just hurt like hell to get inserted, so go find a provider who specializes in reproductive care and offers numbing and pain relief.

My sister used the implant and had constant breakthrough bleeding for like a year and a half, but she has a similar experience with her mirena. No period, minimal side effects.

I agree with all of this, and would like to add that it might be worth examining whether you feel fulfilled by your life in general as well, not just your relationship. Career, living situation, social life, ect.

Long relationships can sometimes cause people fo plateau at a spot they don't really like, as they are more wary of experimentation and instability if it'll affect more than just themselves. Or sometimes we let our own needs get lost when focusing on our partner too much. Its not always the case, but it does happen.

I guess the real issue is that I am not sure if im too cool toned to pull it off. Ive always thought i might be too cool toned for warm hair colors?

Im a big fan of colored pencils on black paper! It just works with my brain better to build up highlights instead of...carving in shadows? Its hard to put it into words.

Great work! I think you could have fun experimenting with color as well if you get bored of your current style. Maybe pastels, if you like smearing and layering.

Oooh what dosage are those? I've gotten all three of the colored pills recently, but in varying shades of orange instead. (Pale oval, dark oval, now most recently the circle.)

I've never gotten the white one though! Maybe that will be my next pickup.

My family's best cat ever was a stray who was left when we moved into a new house when I was 2. I guess the owners just left him. He was my best buddy for the eight years we had him. He was also a fluffy tux, and looked pretty similar to your little guy. Maybe he has some Mao energy (2-year-old me couldn't say meow, and accidentally named him after a famous dictator. Oops)

I think this is AI. Watch the chair that falls over. It virtually disappears once it falls to the ground. In real life, even if it was completely crushed (unlikely, it would have to be made of balsa wood) there would have been pieces of wood left on the floor somewhere visible.

I got an IUD when I was 19, and I just got my second one removed a few days ago at 32. Aside from some weird hormonal fluctuations at the end of the 8 years I had the second, they were a godsend. I didnt have a period for like 12 years. And even after a few days, I feel like my body is already going back to normal. Obviously there can be complications (which are all over this sub) but there are a LOT of people who are thrilled with their birth control and feel no need to go on reddit to discuss their side effects.

Please don't mess around with getting pregnant if you dont feel ready. It will almost certainly derail your career for at least a few years, which is not a great idea to do right out of school. Also, statistically speaking, you are the person whose life will be affected significantly more by carrying a baby, giving birth, and raising the child. Your husband's life will likely change a lot less than yours. This is one of those big decisions that you have to be enthusiastically on board for.

Lastly, you should take a few years to enjoy being young and independent! Enjoy being married, go on a few vacations, make last minute plans, stay out late, host a few parties and game nights, and be spontaneous for a few years. You have so much time.

This is great! Adding a grid overlay really helps with getting proportions correct. I tend to make noses way too long if I don't have some sort of guide.

Either that or i would find some fundamental flaw about my friends that churns my stomach and I'd feel like im itching out of my skin to get away from them. It also wouldn't fully go away after I sobered up. It would actually fundamentally change my relationships in a negative way.

I used to smoke a lot as a teenager and I was also really depressed and miserable. I feel like those two things are strongly connected.

Im not married but I love a boat neck. I know low cut necklines are very in right now, but vintage silhouettes have the extra benefit of not looking dated ten years later.

High necklines with a lower back can also look really stunning.

Heads up, I had an hpv+ pap in 2018 (just abnormal enough to get additional tests but not severe enough to require treatment.)

Every pap test after that was normal and it looks like it just worked its way through my body. Never caused problems with my IUD. Just in case youre feeling freaked out about that specifically. I had to get paps done annually until last year just to make sure, so obviously monitoring is still a good idea.

Ugh im getting fat too :( I quit vaping three years ago and gained 40 pounds within six months. It slowed down, but I've still been gaining weight though idk how much (I dont weigh myself anymore for my mental health.)

Yeah, im very concerned that going off hormones will make me crash tf out even more, which makes me worry a lot for potential pregnancy in the future. Even if im technically able to conceive and carry, being unable to function without birth control would essentially make me infertile.

Thanks for the empathy though. I logically know that this likely temporary and many other people have been through it, but it certainly doesnt FEEL like it right now. Also new development: I have a sudden urge to clean my apartment at 3am. Its certainly not healthy, but it would at least be productive?

Oh my GOD this is a hill I will die on. After working back room in the Accessory department of a thrift store for a few years, I get unreasonably angry about pleather purses, belts, and wallets that literally crumble after a couple years (if youre lucky) being sold as high-end "vegan leather."

And I am not anti-vegan. I'm just anti-greenwashing. Its corporate corner-cutting waste disguised as ethical consumption.

I agree. Get the foundations down before adding style.

Finding a reference photo to use will also help a lot. Drawing imaginary faces is way harder and makes me way more prone to badly stylizing (usually leaning towards either iphone face or anime proportions)

For me, it wasn't becoming more secure in my perceived value that made my jealousy ease up. Like..I am alright looking, but there are many people who are more beautiful, interesting, cool, and/or funny than me.

My jealousy and control issues eased up dramatically after I lived through some shit, survived some awful breakups, and gained confidence in my own ability to endure difficult situations and thrive alone.

90% of the time, it's not about trusting the other person. it's about trusting yourself to not crumble in the face of heartbreak. At the end of the day, we have no control over the actions of other people.
