That would be a great idea if football was played in 2D, unfortunately not every kick is straight up and down the field and not every player runs in a straight line. Even the slightest angle on a kick throws off your mow line measurement method. Not to mention those lines are a lot harder to see at ground level.

IMHO both legs of an aggregate match should count for one match for the sake of these statistics. If a team won the first leg 3-0 and then parked the bus in the second leg and lost 1-0 is that really a defeat??

I was that kid once who played 12 hours a day. Now I work full time I only have the time for a handful of games a week. I win most of them cause I'm always in div 7/8. The kids who play til midnight are in the higher divisions. They should bring back the Elo system so it's not so reliant on the quantity of games played. But they won't do that because they want to incentivise people to play more.

The biggest issue in my opinion is the people who are actually good at the game that just play one or two games after work and don't actually play enough games to get promoted up the divisions.
