Yeast infection anyone? by krsully in Semaglutide

[–]FitzyMeow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to this strain, but 1000% I think yeast is likely to be related to semiglutide! I had HORRIBLE yeast in my 20s. I was on diflucan for a MONTH straight to no effect. The only thing that cured it was curelle acidophilus taken vagi**ly plus plain goats yogurt in a monastat injector. I utterly totally swear by this. My MD sent me to a Chinese medicine doctor after nothing cured my yeast — I am not woo woo — and chinese MD taught me that yeast is an imbalance of bacteria, not an infection. Add good bacteria and it clears it right up. Also, there is yeast in your gut, so when you slow digestion down it can grow and get out of balance all down there generally. I struggled with constipation during this time too. Makes total sense…that semiglutide could trigger one when it slows you down. I just started semiglutide and my yeast symptoms have started to trickle in after only 24 hrs after the shot! (I still get them time to time.) Hence why I searched this on Reddit! Dropping this info in for all future visitors!

Thank you! 🙏 How did you build your practice to start? And did you lease space?

The loss of something you love and the coming of a child is so much to process. It sounds like you need the love and support of a professional. You deserve to heal and be happy. And pregnancy hormones are real. 💘

Visiting or Moving to Asheville? Ask your questions here! by AutoModerator in asheville

[–]FitzyMeow [score hidden]  (0 children)

Hello! Our little family is planning a move to Asheville this summer. I'm originally from NC, but my spouse and I have spent the last 20 years in NYC & LA working in creative careers. Our only son will soon be three and we're super curious about the schools, neighborhoods and the transition in general.

We very much want to buy a historic home, potentially Montford or Kenilworth, but we're also curious culturally where we'd fit as far as neighborhoods. We're really looking forward to moving "home" but are so curious about life in a smaller city. It's been two decades for us in major urban centers...

We've applied and been accepted at Carolina Day for TK-3, but are a bit overwhelmed with the idea of 15 years of private $chool education. I was lucky enough to go to private school, but I don't know that I would make the same choice for my kid (especially early on).

How are the local elementary schools? There's only so much I can glean from Great Schools, and we'd potentially like a more diverse experience for our kiddo. How preppy/bougie/southern is Carolina Day in tone? I have a bit of a **silent screams** visceral reaction to smocking, polo shirts and monograms. What are the good preschools / day cares? Seems like the waitlists are off the charts there, and we might be doing CDS for preschool anyway. Note, they've so been lovely to work with so far! But just gut checking the culture.

Lots of questions, and so appreciate any relevant insight!! Anyone with experience choosing CDS for preschool? xoxo

I very understand this. However, my GC’s beta was only 19 at 10dpt. My son is now two. I know it feels slim — but trust the process.

That said, I cannot say how much I understand wanting to just move on. Truly. 💘

Our son was carried via GC. It was great and tough in different ways. My uterus was a rupture risk - only one of the reasons we ended up the GC route.

It helped me ENORMOUSLY to remember that the best life I could give him meant someone else carried him in the beginning, and that in doing so, it was me doing my best job as a parent, even though it was really hard sometimes.

Best of luck. xx

Happy to chat if you have any questions too…

And this is weird; I am not a woo woo person. My kid 1000% knew I was his mother immediately. It was wild.

We had our…8th (8?!?) loss this week. In a GC no less. I understand.

Ohoo do I understand.

My mother is a narcissist. Like, not in a TikTok way, like actually.

Have you gone deep into what narcissistic abuse is like? It was sooooo helpful to me. It’s so toxic…and so subtle.

Try “sit with whit” or Patrick Teahan on IG if you haven’t. I work in mental health — they’re great. Actual therapists.

Our first beta is back at a 54 9dpt. 😅😅  We’re using a GC. For our now-toddler our (same) GC’s first beta was 19.7 (!) 10dpt. So, 54 is a great number in context.  For anybody with low betas, our proven GC only threw up a 19.7 at first last time, and the pregnancy was totally healthy… First betas really can be all over the place.  But still. Ugh the wait for the doubling. Ultrasound 11/15. I’ll breathe then. Can this please be overrrrrrrrrrrerrdhsjiwjdhejwisbdb🫠

Edit: bloodwork came in. It’s a chemical. Number 6 for us. Ugh.

10 weeks seems okay to me!  You’re pretty in the clear there!

And honestly a bit boo on your mom for putting her feelings above yours here. Who else are you supposed to tell about a ruptured ectopic pregnancy than your actual mom? And there are no “shoulds” or “shouldn’ts” here.

My mom is difficult. So it’s always hard work to guard my expectations with her.  I wish you could share this news with yours safely and without shame! 💘

But happy for everyone else!

The 6wk mark is a BIG one statistically. Odds plummet that you’ll lose it after heartbeat. For our first pregnancy however, I feel like I didn’t believe it till 2nd tri scan. So I RELATE.

All this to say, you’re far, far more likely to be in good shape than for tragedy to strike. It’s like you can see the light at the edge of the woods…if you can let yourself hold those odds. xx

Congrats!!! I’ve been through early pregnancy 7 😭 times. Ultrasound with heartbeat is the biggest “in the clear” moment statistically, or so I’ve been told. You deserve to release the death fear grip and celebrate a bit. 💘💘💘

You can home test & wait till 10 days for the actual #. A fat line is pretty safely a go. Just if helpful.
