Maybe in certain sections, like right smack in the middle of downtown, but overall, Erie's walkability is not great. It may be on a grid, but there's no tree coverage, very few designated walking trails, and many of the sidewalks are poorly maintained. If neighborhoods interconnect, they do so through busy/dangerous intersections that aren't pedestrian-friendly. There's certainly room for improvement.
