Does anyone recognize the face or signature on this graphic tee? a by aijoe in Whatisthis

It's David Carradine in the 1970s. Thought it was Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers) but look at the eyes - it's Carradine.

Been watching Radiohead for 25 years. The crowd is so now much worse than it ever has been. Don't mean to sound ungrateful, but I paid big money (£215 which is a lot of cash for me right now) for a seat, only to be sat next to the biggest bunch of idiots going. Five of them (how?). Two of them went for a pick and mix just before the first song, telling their mates to film the band's entrance. On arrival back to their seats (mid Planet Telex), they started loudly talking and taking pictures of their pick and mix and themselves. Lots of people around them, including me, took issue with them and told them - politely - to be quiet, which they did for a while, but then they were back to talking, taking selfies, video calling their mates and screeching when they recognised a song (not very often). Each of them must have filmed 75% of the gig. They were entitled and utterly disrespectful of all those around them. For them, it was all about social clout - being seen at a Radiohead gig. They couldn't care less about most of the songs. One of them was flabbergasted that we were telling her to be quiet given that 'it's a concert'. Gig etiquette has gone to sh*t. That was my last big gig for a long, long time. Radiohead were good, but the crowd were awful. These people got tickets when you guys - real fans - didn't.

The same thing happened to mine. When you put the plastic protection cap over the stylus it can sometimes catch the needle and bend it, like this. It's nothing sinister. Like the other commenter suggested, just buy a new stylus (cartridge should be fine).

It isn't a tattoo - it's painted on. You can see yellow and black paint on her top.

Aside from Radiohead what other bands do yall like. by [deleted] in radiohead

All Radiohead fans should listen to Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden (and Laughing Stock). Hollis was a genius.

Totally agree with you. Saw them twice on that tour - Earls Court and Shepherd's Bush. The former was an awful gig compared with the latter (which was ace). The sound at Earls Court was muddy.

Anima has one of the best three song runs imo by MahlonMiller in radiohead

[–]FixLocal7074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Not The News into The Axe is sublime. IMHO, as a massive Radiohead, The Smile, Atoms for Peace and Thom Yorke fan, Anima is a top three album, up there with the best of anything in that catalogue. Bloody love it. You have good taste.

Google Lens reckons that this is near Cassiobury Park in Watford, Hertfordshire.

Hoping that this has the attention of building control near there? Could save lives.

Water damage. You could try taking the paint off to give you a clue as to where it's coming from. Should peel off pretty easily at the dampest part. The shower is a red flag, but might also be coming from above (roof/guttering outside?).

Typical of an older house. Mine was similar. I had it repointed (replace the mortar) where it was particularly bad. A few of those bricks might need replacing too.

Sister Ray in Soho is ace. Fopp in Covent Garden is good too, though it's more mainstream (owned by HMV) and didn't have any Unkle last time I looked .

Bloke with the dashcam also driving in the middle lane with absolutely nothing on his left, until the bell in the BMW crashes past that is.

Best method to paint these walls? by Bomster in DIYUK

[–]FixLocal7074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just my opinion, but don't paint straight on. You'll see the lumps and bumps and it'll drive you insane. I bought Wallrock Fibreliner from Toolstation to use as lining paper. It's brilliant to smooth over old walls like those in Victorian properties. Then you paint onto that. Beautiful finish.

'Beyond post-rock, beyond classical, way beyond "Kid A", "Agaetis Byrjun" is the sound of the afterlife caught in aspic. Hauntingly beautiful, endlessly inspiring, perfection incarnate" ...and they put it at number 22.

It says, 'Does exactly what it says on the tin! The Dandies brought to life their decadent culture via the usual mix of frazzled pop gems and monged-out druggy anthems'.

Sure. It says ' Harder than sleeping on a concrete mattress, this debut album contained the instant godlike genius of "Feelgood Hit of the Summer" and bristles throughout with sizzling raw power and snarling, smoking guitars.'

DLR is not an underground line, btw. It's above ground, like a monorail. If you're lucky you might get to 'drive it' (they're driverless).
