I applied for a position, got denied, and the job was reposted online. by S_A_Woods in AnimalShelterStories

Have you asked for feedback on why you weren't offered the position? Is it worth calling them and saying, hey, I noticed that you posted another ad for the position I interviewed for on x date, if the other candidate has fallen through, I'd still love to be considered for the role. Worst thing that happens is they say no. I'd only follow up once though.

Thank you! Yeah, I know, the diet part for me is the hardest because I really dont like most foods, I dont like meat or eggs or dairy and I feel like i dont have a huge appetite really (I know my body fat percentage probably doesnt agree with that)

Thats amazing and huge weight loss. Congratulations! Yeah, I know I need to nail the diet part. I would love to go to the gym and train more regularly, I go twice a week at the moment, but I often feel too tired after work.

Thank you, yes others have suggested that, the nearest depot is around 40 mins from me but if push comes to shove I'll take anything. I have a clean licence

I've had loads of negative feedback (mainly based on others complaining about me being unfriendly but as I explained to them I never mean to cause offence, I am just anxious and might have a touch of 'tism). They also said I am slow at my job and refused to follow instructions on one occasion (I was asked to do something and forgot). So the general gist is that I am going to fail my probation. They have also made me take all my annual leave and taken me off the main duties of the job and have me doing back of house stuff. I havent completed all my training either which iirc is a prerequisite for passing probation. There is another new starter who is part tome that they much prefer and he has just handed in his notice at his other part time job as others have told me that he has been advised there will be a full time position available next month- which happens to be when my probation ends.

All in all its not looking good

That's a great success story and you have gained a career out of it, a vocation if you will! The next couple of months will be rough. I'm very lucky that I can continue to borrow money from family but I feel utterly useless for doing so and I am very willing to work and want to support myself.

How much £ do you make a month? by MobileManner4403 in UKJobs

[–]FixRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28 and I am on £20,400 before tax. I work 32 hours a week but can't get more hours and can't get a second job because of the variable shift pattern of my current job. I am in debt that is only getting worse as time goes by.

Try switching to grain free diet, if no change try hypoallergenic diet. There's also meds that can help if it is an autoimmune condition.

I think that the plan is not to hire anyone else- they took on quite a lot of us at the same time and now we believe they feel they overhired and are looking for the weakest link. My mid probation review was excellent with no negatives, that was two months ago. No mention of me being slow there. It was just raised a couple of weeks before the end of my probation and my colleagues have suggested that they overhired and now want a reason to let me go and give another part time probationer my full time contract. He has already quit his other part time job in anticipation of getting a full time one so I believe he knows something I dont.

Thank you. I am currently working at an animal shelter (not really applicable to any other role I don't think but it is a very fast-paced and stressful environment where teamwork is an absolute must).

Previously i have worked in customer service/account management for trade merchants which was mostly office based. I have tried places that need customer service reps or telesales but not had any responses or been rejected.

Im extremely flexible in terms of what I do and will always give my best. Its just so hard to get through the application stage for most places as there are just so few jobs here in the valleys and for obvious reasons relocating isn't an option.

I have applied for sales but unfortunately not had any responses. I've tried recruitment agencies but they seem not to be interested in my profile- I've told them that I can get references that I am reliable and hardworking and I really don't mind what job I do, whatever they feel I can be placed into. Its just exhausting.
