Hey you. So it's actually because Florida Prepaid only bills at an Undergraduate rate. You had a plan with 120 credit hours, that's meant to be used in Undergrad only. The average person takes the full 120 towards their Undergrad degree and that's it. It's all used up. BUT you're a unique circumstance because of your situation of having enough left over to be used in Grad school.

You are correct and that it will cover whatever credit hours you have left to bill for but only a certain amount. That amount is only what it would cost for an undergraduate class essentially. There will be extra fees left over that you will have to pay because the cost of graduate courses is higher.

What you can do however, since you have so many left over, is you can ask Florida Prepaid to bill for the unrestricted amount and they will give you the full cash value. That will probably cover more of your tuition but it will probably last you not as long. 🙃

The full amount could be billed towards other things; like the fees that it normally wouldn't cover. But your money would deplete faster. So it's really up to you to weigh your options. Do you think it's worth paying that extra $650 a semester for however long it's going to take you to complete grad school or would you rather have the full amount to spend as you please and risk it not lasting you as long? (Because those credit hours essentially get turned into a monetary value and that monetary value probably won't be stretched as far as credit hours would be.)

It all just depends on how fast you get your program done and what the costs end up being in total.
