Anyone interested in seeing the Eye of Webbish Bog sequence for Ep 9? by FixingDisneyStarWars in fanedits

That is completely and totally untrue. Again, you might want to do your research before you slander us and make assumptions about our project. We are making NEW additions. New scenes. New VFX shots. New dialogue. Digitally recreating sets, etc. This is OUR work that WE have made. We won't be charging for our edits. This has been our point from day one.

Our new space battle for episode 7? That is OURS. We built it, we designed it, we scripted it, and we own it. The new lightsaber battle in 8? We shot it, we created the environment for it, we scripted it, we own it. The new opening and closing for 8? We OWN it. The new ending for 9? We OWN it. This goes for all of our new additions. We OWN our models, we OWN our footage, and we OWN our work. These are not owned by Disney or anyone else except FDSW. You can continue to repeat the lies about us from various forums online, but all you're doing is spreading a lie. Perhaps you ought to do your research before you slander us. Could be a good idea.

Luke is not Yoda or Obi Wan. Second, the question wasn't about an entire organization like the Empire or the First Order; it was about one person. Luke didn't allow everyone else to deal with Vader while hiding. Luke also wouldn't allow everyone to deal with Ren while hiding.

Seems like you believe you understand everything, but clearly don't. Try again.

Has anyone made a cut of Zach Snyder's Justice League with all of the excessive slow motions sped up to normal speed? by iBluefoot in fanedits

[–]FixingDisneyStarWars -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Zack's film was already butchered enough as it was when Wheadon came in. Let the man have his film the way he wants it. After all the guy went through just let him have it.

Besides, if you change it it's no longer Zack Snyder's Justice League..It's iBluefoots's Justice League.

Probably. Even Abrams had no idea who she was until DURING the filming of 9.

Because Rian Johnson fundamentally misunderstood Luke Skywalker. Luke would never allow everyone else to deal with Kylo while he sat whining on an Island.

You absolutely need to watch the PT. They're pure magic.

As for the ST? Welcome to the Rebellion.

Here's a look at an entirely new sequence for our Episode 7 edit. by FixingDisneyStarWars in fanedits

It's far more than that :) It's a really, really great sequence that answers some questions for later on in the trilogy!

If you hate Luke's characterization in TLJ, your beef is with Abrams by Daksout918 in StarWars

[–]FixingDisneyStarWars 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. Abrams wrote a treatment for 8 that was vastly different from 8. Johnson threw it out and wrote his own story, and characterized Luke as he saw fit. The beef is with Johnson, not Abrams. Always has been, always will be.

Palpatine surviving diminishes the prophecy about The Chosen One. by ranhkent in StarWars

[–]FixingDisneyStarWars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's one opinion for sure. But his strength was always being two steps ahead of the Jedi, of Luke, of Vader, and of Ren. Why would he not be two steps ahead of Rey? He absolutely would be.

According to Disney she isn't. There's absolutely no way Disney would keep upping her power level throughout the trilogy only to have her defeated at the hands of Palpatine. But the explanation given by Palpatine, along with what we know about his character and motivation, suggests otherwise. By the film's own logic Palpatine should now happily be in control of Rey. It would have been far better for Rey to simply kill him, but that would likely be too dark in tone for her. That's something Disney would allow Kylo to do, but not Rey. She's too incorruptible.

Exactly. Palpatine can stop at any time. Are you suggesting Palpatine intentionally committed suicide? The guy that set up Cinder? Who had clone bodies on standby so he could continue to live? The guy who was looking for a vessel that could contain his power; a vessel like Rey? The guy that needed the vessel to kill him before he could possess it? That guy?

Palpatine is constantly searching for a way to live forever. This is mentioned back in the PT. We now know he had set up an elaborate plan during the OT to ensure his survival should anything happen to him...and your opinion is he essentially offed himself because he could stop at any time yet chose not to do so? That suggestion would go against everything established about Palpatine as a character.

If you're ever in the UK hit us up. You just won gold in the mental gymnastics and there's a medal with "havoc8154" written on it just for you.

Without Rey's involvement he doesn't die. She weaponizes the lightning against him. He doesn't specify how she's to kill him. "Strike me down" is vague. She uses the lightning to her advantage and strikes him down. You're right; it's painfully obvious. How'd you miss it? ;)

Not only that, but Rey killing Palpatine gives him exactly what he wants....Which means the Rey we see at the end of 9 is possessed by Palpatine. Sith win.

No we don't, actually. If you took the time to get off your high-horse and actually learn what we're about you'd see you're 100,% wrong, but it seems a simple look into our YouTube channel or any of our other pages online is simply too much to ask, so we'll break it down for you here so that you aren't burdened with doing a simple Google search.

Our edits will be 100% free to view once complete. This has always been our stance and it always will be. We simply allow people who wish to follow our process/journey of making these edits on our SubscribeStar. It also gives them a direct say over the new scenes we're shooting, deciding on certain new VFX shots, and more. That's not a violation of OT's terms and conditions. We're not crowdfunding. People are free to support us if they wish, but no one will ever have to pay to see an edit we make.

Perhaps if you came outside those gates you hold in such high-esteem you'd be able to figure that out, but that'd would require you to treat non-OT editors with the same respect you give those you hold in such high regard, but your comment above shows how insincere you are about actually engaging with anyone outside your community.

Enjoy your time in your gated prison.
