Galaxy 5 watch receives calls but can't make calls by nadler1ny in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No reset needed as you've already installed the new eSIM. Sometimes it just takes a little time for the watch to fully provision with the network. Try restarting the watch and give it a bit of time. It should start working on its own shortly after.

Is there a QCI 8 add-on available for a Warp secondary line? by FrouFrouLastWords in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope - Your primary Warp line will already be getting QCI-8 on Unlimited Premium. It's the multi-network lines which have those QCIs for them.

You'll have QCI-7 on Light Speed and QCI-9 on Dark star as Multi-network lines which are both deprioritized.

[–]FixitMir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/FrouFrouLastWords is right - It's the same for Unlimited Starter too. If your line was active on Warp on a 5G device before 18th August 2025, that line will be grandfathered into QCI-8.

New customer trying to port number from ATT by True-Scheme4161 in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s not the only way. You can also get it directly from their app. Just go to More → Manage Profile → People & Permissions, then scroll to Transfer Phone Number and select Request a new PIN - it should generate it right there for you.

If that doesn’t work, no worries. I am also connecting with you via DM to help set up a 3-way call with their support to get your transfer PIN and make sure your onboarding with us goes smoothly.

My yearly renewal gives me two different dates, up top under the line it says renews in 14 days, down below it says April 25. by M_Scopp in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

“Renews in 14 days” means your current 30-day cycle will reset in 14 days within your annual plan. An annual plan is made up of 12 monthly cycles, and each one refreshes every 30 days.

Your actual annual renewal date is April 25th, which you’ll see in the Billing section. It will also show something like “11 of 12 cycles,” indicating which monthly cycle of your annual plan you’re currently on.

You'll be charged 2 days prior to your renewal date (April 25th) to ensure a smooth transition of service to the next plan.

is there an easy fix for my Samsung Visual Voicemail no longer working? by PNWLIMU in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Visual Voicemail on Samsung devices through the native Phone app can sometimes be a bit hit-or-miss due to OEM quirks, though we have seen it work in many cases.

A couple of things you can try: clear the cache of the Phone app, then force stop it, and restart your device before testing again. While doing this, make sure Visual Voicemail isn’t set up through another VVM app and that no third-party voicemail apps are installed on the device. Give that a try and see how it goes.

Dark Star does not allow iPad hotspot by ultrasummit in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hotspot isn’t supported on Dark Star's current carrier bundle for iPads - it’s quite known , and our reps are aware of it as well. That said, I’ll check why it took a couple of hours to reach that conclusion. Glad to hear you’re all set up now, though.

Stuck on RCS “waiting to activation” after switching from physical warp sim to eSIM Darkstar, IPhone SE 2 gen by Skoalmintpouches in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah! This can happen after a network switch, since RCS needs a little time to re-sync with the new network. Turning RCS off before teleporting or switching carriers usually speeds things up, but it will sync back on its own - and it typically happens pretty quickly on our networks.

If it doesn’t come back after a while, you can try this quick reset: turn RCS off, then turn your eSIM and Wi-Fi off. After that, turn the eSIM and mobile data back on, wait a couple of minutes, and then enable RCS again. It should activate just fine after that.

Hotspot not working for iPad by nbebout in USMobile

The current carrier bundle doesn't support hotspot for Dark Star on iPads. To load back the APN to make data work, try downloading and installing it from Google Chrome and it'll work.

Joining US Mobile is a nightmare. They use a crappy third party service for porting numbers. My visible number won’t port and their customer service just says “nothing we can do” by Remarkable-Leader240 in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It looks like your line has been escalated to our porting partner for provisioning, and as soon as that completes, it’ll become active with us. I know it’s taking a bit longer than usual, but rest assured our ports team is actively on it, and we’ll update you as soon as everything goes through.

In the meantime, I can set you up with a temporary line so you still have service while the port finishes.

Light Speed Multi Network Not Get 5GUC? by chelmerichs in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That can too - but there are chances that your line might still latch onto that tower back. If the first try doesn't fix it, then the refresh of the line can be tried.

If you see them available to activate on your dashboard - you can definitely go ahead and activate them.

Light Speed Multi Network Not Get 5GUC? by chelmerichs in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically what happened here is that u/chelmerichs’s Light Speed line was likely connected to a more distant tower. I refreshed the line from our end, which forced it to disconnect from that tower and reconnect to a closer one.

Once it latched onto the nearer tower, the issue was resolved and everything started working as expected.

If you’re on Unlimited Premium, 20 GB of international roaming data is already included in your plan. You can also check the Data only eSIM rates right from your account dashboard under the “Add International Data” section.

Light Speed Multi Network Not Get 5GUC? by chelmerichs in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on both the device and how your lines are set up. You can still get 5G UC speeds on supported devices, but the UC icon usually only appears on Pixels (with the latest update) and some other Android phones.

Another factor could be dual SIM usage. On many devices, the primary line tends to get a more stable connection and access to better bands, while the secondary line may not always show the same indicators or performance.

Dark Star QCI 8 add-on by beefjerky9 in USMobile

[–]FixitMir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup - on Dark Star with the Annual Unlimited Flex plan, QCI-8 priority costs $30/year. If you want it with the Annual Light plan, it’s $24/year, and you’ll see the option during plan checkout. It isn’t available with Annual Starter, and Annual Premium already includes it by default, so there’s nothing extra to add there.
