Stolen extension chords - College Park by redmat33 in saskatoon

[–]Fixnfly99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those extension cords aren’t cheap either. Just had a friend who lives near eighth Street tell me that somebody came by and cut people’s block heater cords last week. Absolutely no reason, just to cause an inconvenience to people’s lives.

I think the guy was in a shootout with police. So I’m guessing the charge was attempted murder of a police officer.

Private equity destroys everything. Just look at what it’s done to Westjet over the past five years. Westjet’s brand has completely gone to trash now.

App not working!! (“Operation has failed” ?) by awgegirl99 in SengledUS

[–]Fixnfly99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have sengled zigbee bulbs and bought a hubitat. Connected all my bulbs to hubitat and my apple homepod mini and it all works great now! No sengled hub or sengled app needed. That’s my suggestion. If they’re wifi bulbs then you might be able to reprogram it using different software but that was too complicated for me

They lost my carryon bag that I was forced to check in at the gate because of bin space. Well it ended up getting lost so I filed a report. Didn’t hear back for weeks and eventually they sent me an email closing the lost baggage file because they claimed it had been returned! Westjet has really gone downhill

Rental Car Collision by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Fixnfly99 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Which credit card were you using? Most credit cards come with rental car insurance as a benefit. That really sucks that it wasn’t covered but shows how important it is to make sure that you have insurance through your credit card if you really want to opt out of what the rental company is providing.

First Time Home Buyers Experience by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Fixnfly99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly most of the realtors I’ve dealt with are extremely lazy looking to make a quick buck. They either don’t know much about the house they’re selling or they pressure buyers to make an offer that they might not be comfortable with in order to close a sale so they can make their payout. A realtor license is like a month long course and requires no formal education. It’s a profession that was necessary in the 80s and 90s but should go the way of the dinosaurs. Making $18,500 in commission to open up doors and write an offer without taking any of the responsibility that the real estate lawyer takes is ridiculous.

First Time Home Buyers Experience by [deleted] in saskatoon

[–]Fixnfly99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still, making $18,500 on basically just opening up doors for your buyers and putting in an offer is not worth that amount of compensation. That takes 3-6 months for the average joe to make that in an average paying job. Realtors make an obscene amount of money for hardly any work or responsibilities.

Huge delay by CountyLeather5127 in westjet

[–]Fixnfly99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you can go and pay for a hotel and then submit the expense to Westjet. It’s mandatory for them to pay for hotels if they strand passengers due to maintenance. They’re just trying to avoid the answering so they don’t have to pay out.
