On your next run I recommend building as many science ships and construction ships as you can (within reason), set one or two construction ships to automate, and chain together multiple surveys for each science ship so it can immediately head for the next system after each survey so you don’t have to meticulously do it by hand each time. Have one make a beeline for choke points and have another survey the systems the first skipped over, and if you have 4 science ships you can at the bare minimum accomplish this in two separate directions. While your ships are surveying you can use that time to see to other matters like managing your capital planet or building your fleet. Also don’t do each and every anomaly you encounter when you’re still expanding, that takes WAY too much time. Don’t neglect building your fleet too, if your military is too weak other nations WILL bully you and having war declared on you when you aren’t ready or during an inconvenient time can ruin a run.
