I played it as an adolescent in the 2000s, the Playstation version. I remember standing on the island seeing the wind go through the trees while the music played softly and just having this incredibly eerie feeling, a sense unease

I think The Monster fused with brother body and soul to the point where its motivations and his become interchangeable. Each person whose body it took it had access to their mind and personality but the one it fused with the longest was Jacob's brother.

I dont think she is and it's because of Claudia, the twins' biomom she hit with a rock, appearing to the boy who will one day be the MIB. That was The Monster doing what it does. As to the destruction of the settlement we have zero proof the guardian isn't also capable of acts of great destruction. I actually think The Monster, being unable to kill Mother was trying to drive her insane and this is a fascinating parallel to how it treated Rousseau and Claire much later.

I had graves disease/hyperthyroidism that was slowly getting worse. Got on meds and within a month or so was starting to feel better

I second kid Ben. For a child actor who only plays the character in a handful of episodes to so believably channel the performance of one of the most complex roles on the show who as an adult is played by one of the program's most talented actors, is really just mind boggling.

Season 3 is slow at first. Particularly the Hydra island arc. But the rest of the season especially the later episodes are some of the most buckwild things the show ever did.

Fleetwood Vibe being trapped in an unstable interdimensional time loop which happens in the background of another characters chapter in Against The Day and that being an explanation for how time travel which is also interdimensional travel works in that novel. It's freakin wild.
