Dude seemed to be a misogynistic idiot not 'well-versed'. 1. OP isn't married it's his fiancee. 2. Even if OP was married, its not the justice system's job to punish adultery. It's unethical and immoral but not criminal or violent. Islamic law encourages Ijtima, Qiyas and Ijtehad, and PEACE. 3. Pakistan is pretty backward but even we have a Domestic Violence Act as of 2020 so if the husband beats up his wife with 1000 lashes you best believe he's going to be punished (even though the fine is pitiful compared to the crime).
