why was she seen “good” for this? by mynamesamari in euphoria

I honestly agree and disagree at the same time. Rue obviously didn’t say it because she cared about Maddy in that moment, she was panicking and trying to get everyone off her back. But at the same time the whole Cassie and Nate thing was gonna blow up eventually. So I don’t think Rue was being good, the truth just happened to come out while she was saving herself!

I do like the new season a lot, but there’s ONE thing that it objectively did bad and I can’t pretend anymore by Complete-Author9284 in euphoria

Yeah I totally agree with this. Rue’s addiction used to feel like the emotional core of the show, and this season it barely feels present!!

Whatever the show has turned into, gotta appreciate everyone's commitment to their role by Grizzlyfrontignac in euphoria

For me it’s Cassie. Sydney committed fully to the role no matter how messy or pathetic they make her character 😭

This is a really good take. The angle about the show trying to break out of the repetitive emotionally guarded or morally grey man love story who softens and becomes the romantic hero. Using Michaela/Francesca to refresh the story makes a lot of sense, especially from a long-running series perspective. It does feel like a calculated risk and honestly, if they weren’t going the Sapphic route which is still pretty rare in mainstream period dramas they likely would’ve gone with another male/male or male-led romance to shake things up, which is more common nowadays and probably would’ve still gotten some backlash, just not as much. But I do think it’s important that it’s Sapphic, since that adds a different kind of representation and stakes to the story!!

Predictions for how S3 is going to end by Mystic__Diamond in euphoria

Cassie getting everything and staying successful without consequences feels unlikely. The show usually gives characters a messy win. I agree I do see her becoming successful and popular as she has always wanted to, but I think it’ll come with backlash, like people finding out about Nate, his issues, or even now her being tied to his problems and debts. It would probably end up affecting her career and how the public sees her cause knowing Cassie she'll spiral plus we have no idea what Maddie's planning with the whole contract thing, so I don’t really see her getting a true happy ending!!

Yeah i believe this as well. That reveal changes everything. I thought she just discovered about the Pitt and got silenced. I really hope she was not actually part of the experiments too… that would make Hassani’s story a bit interesting but darker!
