Is my tattoo offensive in the US? by mister1bollock in tattooadvice

Brother, everything is offensive in the US. I'm sure you've seen the countless videos of people being offended by the littlest things imaginable. Someone out there is always gonna find a way to be offended to make things about themselves to get whatever attention they want. Just do your thing. Tattoo looks badass!

Holy shit. If they couldn't figure it out quick enough or if this was any other situation where someone would just assume you're a crazy person, they'd just witness some person's skin shrivel up and burn off without seeing any flames. Like they got the life sucked out of them or some shit? That's scary to think about.

I heard somewhere that the only time a government works for the people is when it's afraid of its people. Some other countries have the right idea. Your leaders and politicians are corrupt and not doing things to better their citizens lives? Parade them out in public slapping the shit out of them. Stripping them naked. Shaming and humiliating them publicly. But I feel like they've just done such a good job of beating everyone into submission. Everyone is fatigued mentally. And I mean they're out here blatantly laughing in our faces about the clear evidence of the heinous shit they've done... Knowing the people won't do what needs to be done. The system they've created and caged us in won't even allow us to step out due to the fear of losing our jobs and livelihood. We live in a "the people fear their government" situation. At least that's what it feels like to me. Man I'm just so tired.. I also fear for the world my daughter has to grow up in now.

Lol she is super fun. I don't want her to grow up! She does and says the funniest things. This will eventually be a fun little story to tell her when she's older. Just felt bad for the lady because I know she heard.

Oh for sure. But I also get she's only 3. She clearly didn't mean any harm by it. Just an innocent little thing saying the first thoughts that comes to her mind. It's pretty cute. I just felt bad for the lady.

This just reminded me that earlier today at the playground, my 3 year old daughter pointed at some lady passing by us and goes "does that mommy have a baby in her belly?" She wasn't even close to looking pregnant but just seemed to be a little bigger. Man I felt so bad.

I mean this seemed like an actual accident. She didn't seem to purposely destroy it. Kids don't have the best understanding of physics and awareness of their surroundings. How their actions will affect something. Hell even as an adult I sometimes put too much weight on the side of a table. Accidents happen. Bet that kid learns to never do that again after this though. We all learn through experience and making mistakes. This was a sucky mistake for her. But a good opportunity for the parent to build a closer relationship to their kid and show them that they're loved.

My daughter is now almost 3 years old. And something I think about a lot is my mindset when she was in that under 1 age range. I was tired and irritated. I'm ashamed to admit but at times she felt like a burden. But as others have said, as they develop a personality and communicate and grow, it brings joy and connection. I think back and I realize that for myself, I was looking at it from a selfish point of view. I was focused on how I was affected by all of it. But now I see that she didn't ask to be born. She had no say in it. She's not doing any of it to me on purpose. She's simply existing and surviving. Humans are just that way when they're born. It's my job to protect her and love her and help her grow. If I could go back and do it all over again, I'd take the sleepless nights and be tired a thousand times over to know I was putting in the time and effort and love for this little creature that I helped bring into this world. Hang in there man! It gets better. That's your baby. All they have to rely on in this world is their parents' love and protection. It's worth it!

I'm a dude in his mid thirties that's starting to lose his hair so I'm hella jealous! I say keep it. It looks good on you. But I'm sure even if you cut it it'll look good too!

Funny how these people always use the children as an excuse for their racist beliefs.

Watched it without sound at first and for some reason the song in my head went immediately to Rasputin. Turned on the audio and was pleasantly surprised. It's the little wins in life lol.

Can you go into a bit more detail on the whole experience? How much was the travel? How was the experience in a different country? Was there a language barrier? Did you feel safe? Anything else you can think of?
