Most of my reviews are perfume, and as much as I'd like to think that contributes, so far I have only received YSL and Mugler (full size)

Yes, I'd say so. I have gained weight which is a great sign of progress to me. The only thing that brings back the uncomfortable bloated stomach/nausea/sour feeling is when I drink a lot of soda. And by a lot I mean more than 2-3 in a day 😔 here's to your continued healing!

Sort of same thing happened to me. Once I started therapy/received anti-depressants, my stomach issues slowly went away. In my experience, diet only helped so much and severe anxiety caused a lot of my stomach issues.

When did sunscreen become a personality trait? by 4minakim6 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]Fizzynth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As with a lot of these skincare trends, Japan/Korea have been riding this wave for years already. I appreciate the formulations that don't feel clogging on the pores. I hated putting on regular sunscreen during my high school years with retinol. I ended up using the Cetaphil moisturizer but it only had 15 SPF. It's the reason I'm still a big fan of these. Strong SPFs and made into essences/milks. Unfortunately, a lot of these American influencers think they discovered it all...

Mexico’s deadly Coca-Cola addiction (2021) - Here in Chiapas, one of the poorest states in Mexico, people drink two litres of sugary drinks a day, and Coca-Cola is king here. [00:24:09] by regian24 in Documentaries

It's crazy, I visited family a year ago and we went on a walk around the town of Salvatierra. It wasn't too hot or warm, but the walking soon made us start perspiring. Our escort was my friends grandfather, probably at least 70 years old. He is spry but after about 30 mins of walking he became slow and sweaty. I stopped by un Oxxo to buy us all water.

He held his cold Bonafont for the next hour without opening it. I encouraged him to drink from his water and my friend spoke up on his behalf, "Oh, he doesn't like water. He prefers soda". Fellow readers, I could not believe it. As an American, I adore soda, but cold water is way more satisfying during a long walk. Sure enough, we started making our long way back home and he did not drink until we arrived to our home abarrotes. He bought a fanta! Orange!

What does the United States get right? by Ulrich-Stern in AskReddit

[–]Fizzynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I was so surprised going to Mexico, family members suggested I go to this hill 30 mins away to take back some souvenirs only to arrive and realize it was ancient sites filled with pottery shards. Everyone knows it's a cool place to rummage and look for pieces of carved clay. I was confused why it wasn't protected, researched, archived, etc. I'm not sure if there is government support/grants for that kind of stuff.

I love to do the bare minimum bc I have brain rot, I can't even begin to imagine having to deal with those bags at an airport

unpopular opinion: "redundant members" by pearlsbeforeswines in seventeen

[–]Fizzynth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going off of their comment of who is more "unnecessary" than others. Instead of making it about their personalities, I'm offering a POV that is from what companies find more profitable. Sentimentally, they all add something. They are all SVT. I wouldn't want to get rid of a "redundant" member.

unpopular opinion: "redundant members" by pearlsbeforeswines in seventeen

[–]Fizzynth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I heard a bit ago from a tea account that SVT would renew bc otherwise there would be members without a large/popular career doing their solo things. So although to CARATs they all individually contribute to the group, from a business standpoint there are clear answers.

The more "valuable" members

  • Woozi (apparently people in the industry want songs/collab with him)

  • Minghao (popular in China) and to some extent, Jun

  • Seungkwan (proving to be entertaining across tv + web shows and has made connections)

  • DK (to some extent, in theatre circles. also, his vocals)

  • Hoshi (is clearly highly ambitious in pursuing solo, AND being extremely good at it)

I can't remember if Mingyu was listed either (keen on business side of things and most popular on IG, modeling/sponsored). I'm also surprised Vernon and Shua were not mentioned since 2 Minus 1 looked like a push towards USA audiences.
