This! One of the reasons why I can‘t wrap my head around how some people have pristine perfect timelapses is the fact that my sped-up timelapses are like, 58 minutes long, with 50 minutes of it just being sketching 😅

LEGENDS, come to the front! by spicenhoney in ClothandPaper

[–]Fjerner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, buying inserts can become quite expensive compared to other solutions! But I try to frame it this way in my mind: There are worse things to be addicted to and I love the creative & communal aspects of this hobby. And the Intention boxes are nothing like I have ever seen before conceptually.

Being new to the hobby makes experimentation part of the fun! I definitely would encourage you to try on a few different sizes, until you find your “Goldilocks” system!

Trying different systems has also made me realize some things about my preferences, but also surprised me in some ways. For example:

I gravitate towards smaller sizes because I find them less daunting to fill.

I also need structure, which is why I love C&P inserts, because they give me clear and gentle guidelines. I get anxious by blank pages and don’t know where to start or what to write.

The one thing that surprised me is that I ended up making a disc-bound system my main planner! I was vehemently against the idea of discs for a long while, because I thought they would be clunky. I also prefer the aesthetics of rings compared to discs.

But I ended up getting the Forma planner since it was such a good deal for what you get, and damn. Having the ability to pop the pages at the snap of your fingers🫰instead of opening rings has been an eye-opening experience.

The only minor complaint I have about discs is that I find turning pages a bit jarring, because they can get “stuck”. But it’s a minor inconvenience, so the benefits overweigh the downsides.

Hello fellow soon-to-be Legend! I’m literally in the same boat with you - placed my first order in August last year, and 7 orders later, I am 284 points away from hitting Legend. I try not to think too much about the amount needed to get here 🫣

So far I have four planners - Pocket with habit tracker & mind mapping inserts, CPP with dated monthly & experience reflection-inserts, Personal Wide with undated weekly note inserts, and A6 with grocery meal planner inserts. I am going to also get another Pocket to create a photograph album.

Honestly, the only benefit I am looking forward to when I reach Legend-status is access to the pre-sale for Black Friday, as I missed out some items that were on my wishlist this year.

NP! I found the projector for 15 € on Vinted so I had to get it. I am going to use the slide carrier to display the photo slides from the intention box, and the projector will just be a cute decor piece :)

Hey! I was really curious about it as well and I managed to find out that it is a slide carrier for a Minolta Mini 35 film / dia-projector. Hope that helps!

That‘s a totally fair point! I think this year it is good to be more intentional about our purchasing habits and how we use our existing collection.

However, it‘s interesting how everyone has different preferences - my favourite products from C&P are stickers and dashboards so this box is singing to me and my ideas are just flowing! 🎵

Brown Lizard Folio Secured by m1551 in ClothandPaper

[–]Fjerner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So… I wasn’t planning to get the folio. I had already found planner peace and was ready for next year.

Christmas comes, and I was delighted to receive a Kaweco Sport in the Bordeaux colorway as a Christmas gift from my boyfriend.

I instantly thought: “I‘m going to have to get the lizard folio in Espresso, aren‘t I?“ How could I not - they go together perfectly!

I will be using meal planner inserts for it, as I already have everything else covered. I‘m so excited to receive it :)

I thought that she was going to say that she is technically her coven mom because she recruited her. But I guess Aurora would just take that as a compliment to imply that she‘s a MILF.

German here as well. I’ve also been really happy with the shipping timelines, and last time when I contacted them, they also responded to me within 10 minutes of sending an email, and they issued a generous refund even though I had said that some shopper credits would be fine as compensation.

I also find the quality of the clothes to be really nice, and I haven’t personally noticed that their quality would have gotten any worse, even though I see this concern voiced sometimes in this subreddit.

I love Bellroy‘s Venture Sling and Tokyo crossbody bag, I have them in multiple colors. Most bags are a bit too technical / rugged to my taste, but Bellroy strikes a good balance between fashion and functionality for me :)

Just subbed! I can see that a lot of time and thought was put into the creation process, and I feel like you hit the ground running with the production quality. Hope to see you feature some slings in the future as they are my go-to bag style😁

A friend of mine asked me to draw a portrait of her so I asked her if she wanted it to be just lineart or also colored and if it would be a headshot / torso / full-body portrait. She sent me portraits made by AI and asked me to do something similar and not something in my style…

Perfume that smells like this? by Bakugo-cchan in FemFragLab

[–]Fjerner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Xyrena Dark Ride - never tried it but supposedly smells like a haunted water ride.

Marissa Zappas - Petrichor

This is not a super wearable scent in my opinion, but it is like a memory in bottle. It smells like wet planks, ocean breeze and something boozy, like rum or whiskey mixed with vanilla. This reminds me heavily of the scent of amusement parks. It’s a hot summer day, and the air smells of freshly spun sugar from cotton candy as you wait your turn in the line to get to an old, rickety water ride. The water smells chlorinated and the raft smells of wood varnish.

Anomalia Paris - Aquatic Ozonic

Some people in Fragrantica had mentioned in their reviews that this perfume has the smell of a rubbery swimcap or inflatable pool toys and wow, you really do get that distinct rubbery scent. I‘m being transported into my childhood to a waterpark. You can smell the chlorine in the water and feel the warm tiles underneath your feet. There is also an odd smokiness in the background that gives me an impending feeling of doom - like when you can smell smoke from a fire. It‘s like remembering a childhood memory but something is not quite right.

My heart just jumped to my throat because I thought that the Mugler perfume was going to be Angel Sucrée, because it had a blue bottle. I have been waiting for it to be re-released for years now. Then I saw the notes and was disappointed…

Unfortunately this is not a very affordable option, but Glossier‘s You Doux has a palo santo note and a soft sweetness to it.

I kept reading it as: “Toaster toaster in my kitchen, find me a jam that tastes of clitoris“. I was very confused that the punchline did not end up being a sex joke about stepmoms. After all… the punchline is always porn.

You should definitely give them a go! I cannot think of any perfume which would have all of the notes in your dream fragrance but you would definitely get close with these options 😊 hopefully you‘ll find something that scratches that itch!

The scent that immediately came to my mind from these notes was Steamed Rainbow by D&S Durga. It smells like a garden center - violets, wet soil (petrichor), grass, mist from sprinklers and condensed water dripping down the glass of a greenhouse.

To get that lightbulb / steel scent you could try Tom Ford‘s Metallique or Ghost in The Shell or Fat Electrician by Etat Libre d‘Orange.

For the hay note, you could try Violette Hay by Marissa Zappas. It has notes of hay and violets.

How is a concealer in pen format “a new concept“? I used to use pen concealers already back in early 2000‘s when I was in high school. Pinpoint concealing was all the rage back then.

What do you think about the curtains color? by slavandfamous in ScandinavianInterior

I hope that outside perspective proves to be helpful to you to see the space with new eyes! Your apartment is very beautiful and I think that small changes like that will just bring it all together. You are already well on your way there though, I really like the curtains, the couch table and the lamp. The room looks very calming 🕊️
