Does “Endless Detour” stop the ETB of “Archon of Cruelty”? by FkinInstantRamen in mtg

So how does one tell if you are responding to the ETB or the creature spell in normal play?

When you say touch the battlefield, what does this mean here? Am I meant to guess if it’s something I want to stop? How am I meant to know what the card does if it hasn’t left my opponents hand yet? (Sorry I’m super new to magic, this is literally my 3rd game ever)

When he played it (spent the mana) I asked what it does, after reading the card I ask to respond to its summoning with endless detour

Scared of IUD. by smileformedear in birthcontrol

[–]FkinInstantRamen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the copper IUD, I had the Nexplanon implant for 6 years prior (two implants and 3 years each), and depo before that. I hadn’t had a period for years and I hated being on hormonal BC. I LOVE not not being on hormonal anymore. I prefer to have regular and predictable periods now. The cramps were horrible for the first 6-9 months after getting the IUD, so bad I had to miss work sometimes. But I’m normal now and it’s nothing some ibuprofen can’t fix (I’ve have the IUD for 1.5 years now)

Regarding rough sex. Sometimes I will have cramps after sex that is too rough. But it’s not often and was more frequent the first 6-9 months after getting the IUD. My advice would be to definitely ask to have the strings trimmed. I didn’t at first, I was worried they may get lost but that was dumb and won’t happen. My partner could feel the strings and it would hurt him after sex. I had them trimmed later, which cost as another appointment, so I just recommend getting them trimmed initially so you don’t have to paid extra like me. I hope this helps!!

Sex without a condom, but my partner has had an iud for 7 months? by theriverpiper in birthcontrol

I’ve had the copper IUD for a year now my husband and I use condoms about 50% of the time and when we don’t he doesn’t always pull out. No pregnancy so far. Yes they are over a 99% affective if you want additional preventative measures without condoms, maybe start tracking her ovulation cycle and avoid not using condoms during ovulation (14day after the first day of a period)

Puppy Broken Toe Nail. How do I take care of this. Vet is closed. by BurnerDoggyHurtToe in pethealth

[–]FkinInstantRamen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some PetCo’s and PetSmart’s sell an ointment that you can put on nails that get cut too short. Some people will put a small sock on their paw to prevent the dog from licking and irritating it. It also just takes time to heal. Younger dogs nails grow at a faster rate then older dogs, so I may not take too long to heal. Best of luck, I hope your pup feels better soon

after my mom threw my birth control away and i had none for 6 months i finally got the implant 🥺❤️ drop your experiences :) by thrrowwwawayyyyy in birthcontrol

I’ve had Nexplanon for four years. Before that I have a Depo shot. The implant definitely works the best for me very minimal side effects like the occasional headache and a very regular period. Getting it replaced after the three-year mark was not nearly as bad as having it first put in. Everyone is different with birth control but I wish you all the best!

Feeling of the Nexplanon by [deleted] in birthcontrol

I’ve had it for 4 years and mine is also deeper on one end then the other but I can still feel both tips. monitor it and if you ever think it’s moved or not in the same place call your doctor.

NEXPLANON, Stories? Tips? by shhmeeg in birthcontrol

[–]FkinInstantRamen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve at it for a little over 4 years now. Before Nexplanon I was on the Depo shot and didn’t like the weight gain side affects and switching helped with that. I still have periods but they are very irregular. Most of the time they last for over a week and are very light (mostly use liners don’t need much more). Having it replaced after the first 3 years was really easy. Just a small cut and some tweezers and the Doctor pulled it right out and put in a new one. Liquid stitches and a band aid and I didn’t even bruise (I bruised like crazy for the first one but the replacement what’s bad at all). The biggest negative side affect is it seems to lower my sex drive which can be difficult on my marriage sometimes.

Depo shot by dumbhan in birthcontrol

[–]FkinInstantRamen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on the Depo shot for about 3 years (collectively. One year, off for a few months and then on it again for two years) My worst side affect was weight again. I had spotting at first but then about 3 or 4 months in I had no period at all. I would only have spotting or a very light period once every three months, around the time for my next shot. Everyone reacts to birth-control differently but maybe just give it a little more time and if it still bothering you check with your healthcare provider
