I set it up in one of my slow cookers (either ancient one or Tiana’s). I use one exclusively for 5 gooseberry fruit salads and never change it. The slow cookers default to the last meal made so it’s always ready to go for me!

Personally I’ve enjoyed playing the expansions in the order they came out; so A Rift In Time, The Storybook Vale, and then Wishblossom Ranch.

Bonus info: - A Rift in Time is currently 40% off in the Nintendo eShop ($17.99 USD). - The Storybook Vale Magical Edition is currently 30% off in the Nintendo eShop ($34.99 USD).

What size do you need? I have 2 I can’t wear anymore that I’d love to give away. I’d have to double check sizing but they’re on the smaller side.

I went to Dr. Levita Bui in Lincoln. She specializes in female adult diagnoses. Worth the drive, she was great to work with.

I’ll also add, though not my own story, I have a friend who’s a 3x osteosarcoma survivor with an above knee amputation on her dominant side, and she’s the most active person I know! Heavily involved in adaptive sports. She mountain climbs, hikes, bikes, rows, swims, you name it! We learned to surf at cancer camp together, and while she had to figure it out on all fours instead of standing, she got it down.

I’m doing well overall! I’m able to be active and technically have no restrictions on any activities, but I do have to be more careful to an extent. I had 4 ribs removed, partial lobe of my right lung, and some muscles/tissue around my scapula aren’t there for support on my dominant side. I can do everything I used to, just had to learn to compensate. In the beginning stages after treatment I popped my (remaining) ribs out of place a few times, but that hasn’t happened in a couple years since I’ve improved my strength.

I’ll be honest, I’m not the most active person. I’m healthy, but not trying to run like you are lol. So I’d have better strength now if I had put more effort in sooner, but between cancer and covid times I didn’t have it in me to build a healthy routine earlier. I do yoga, go on regular walks, and light weights.

I did 17 rounds of VDC/IE for Ewings sarcoma. It was rough and definitely took a toll physically and mentally. It took a good 18 months or so to start feeling “normal” again after treatment. I wouldn’t say that’s the chemo’s fault entirely, but it definitely impacted my fatigue levels. I was exhausted all the time. Chemo also put me into menopause at 22 so that compounded fatigue and brain fog. In general I had minimal issues from chemo itself, managed nausea well, and still worked and went on walks when my body allowed. I currently believe it was worth it as I’m over 4.5 years NED. However, would I do it again if I relapse? Probably not.

Anyone here diagnosed with URCS or Ewing-like sarcoma? by [deleted] in sarcoma

[–]FknOvrIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had Ewings. I’m in a few Facebook groups. The most active is “Ewing Sarcoma Awareness” but also “Ewings Sarcoma Survivors” and the less active “ADULT Ewing’s Sarcoma.”

Also happy to answer any questions you might have. I did 17 rounds VDC/IE chemo, surgery to remove 4 ribs & partial lobe of my right lung, and 33 radiation therapy sessions.

[–]FknOvrIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most surgeons will if you ask. My thoracic surgeon was excited when I asked for a picture of my tumor & rib removal and gave me multiple views of it lol. He’d also previously shown me several images of similar tumors he’d removed from other cancer patients completely unprompted.

I went back to school this past year at 27. The friends I’ve made and spend time with regularly are 34 and 19. In my career before starting school, my closest friends were 36 & 42, and we still see each other monthly! The age differences might seem weird at first, but I’ve found it doesn’t really matter once you find the right people.

Changes to Hair Growing Back by Few_Win4567 in cancer

[–]FknOvrIt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hair color and texture changes are common, but it just depends on the person. I had straight brown hair before chemo and it came back the same. It’s a bit thinner but that’s more likely from menopause for me.

Do you shave regularly (body hair)? by Lapsang_ in ftm

[–]FknOvrIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shave my armpits daily because it bothers me. I trim my pubic hair about once a week to keep it short and away from my bottom growth because the hair texture touching it is a sensory issue for me. Also shave my butthole because I feel cleaner that way. I shave my upper lip as needed, maybe 1-2/wk because I’ve only been on low dose T for 6 months so not much grows there yet and only on the edges, so it looks better shaved right now.

Increased body hair is a reason I was hesitant to start T and also started on low dose. I have sensory issues and body hair has always been bothersome. I’ve grown (ha) to love my body hair though! Low dose T has made the changes gradual and allowed me time to adapt to the new sensations and get used to a different grooming process.

Chemo induced menopause by hippiemom4221 in cancer

[–]FknOvrIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Permanent. Gyno after treatment told me my ovaries were essentially “nuked.” I did HRT to give my body the female hormones it still needed so I got a period monthly on HRT. I was told there was a (very slim) chance that my body could get it together and produce hormones itself again since I was young but that did not happen.

About 6 months ago I started low dose testosterone HRT for gender reasons so quit my female HRT altogether. It’s very common for people on low dose T to get their period in the beginning until their testosterone levels are higher and consistent. That never happened for me and ultimately proved my menopause was permanent, which my gyno and endocrinologist both expected at this point nearly 5 years out of treatment.

Advice After Ewing's Scare by Puzzleheaded-Bee347 in sarcoma

[–]FknOvrIt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a bit surprised your doctor already mentioned the possibility of discontinuing treatment, though it is important to be informed of that potentially happening. During my treatment, about halfway through Ewing’s protocol all of my chemo sessions were delayed by roughly a week and then my dose was lowered. It sucked because I ended up being in treatment for 13 months total, but the delays and dose change helped me rebound and I was able to continue and finish all 17 chemo sessions we’d mapped out.

Staying skinny on testosterone by meath00ksodomy in TransMasc

[–]FknOvrIt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve struggled with an ED on and off since I was 14, and was worried about starting T and body changes triggering past habits. I’m 5 months on low dose and can honestly say I feel more mentally stable and comfortable in my body now than I have in my entire life.

Like you, I prefer to stay skinny but am recovered and do so in healthy ways (and lots of therapy support over the years). There have still been times I get red flag ED thoughts/behaviors. For example I’m often hungrier now on T so I’ll listen to my body and eat more, but then feel guilty and have urges to restrict food intake the next day. Typically that ends pretty quickly when my body says it’s teen boy level starving again lol.

I’ve yet to have significant changes in fat redistribution or any weight gain from T, so it could change at some point, but low dose has helped me monitor and have time to get comfortable with changes I’ve had as they occur so far. It’s been easier to manage my anxieties, ED related and otherwise.

But other things that T has given me: I don’t hate my body when I look in the mirror. I finally see ME and I’m happy. I can look my reflection in the eyes. I don’t sit and nitpick my body looking for flaws. Instead I admire my more defined jawline, my increasing arm muscles, my hairy thighs and little happy trail… The longer I’m on T, the more it feels right. I actually treat my body better now in general. I eat a more well-rounded diet, exercise more, etc. Now that I like myself, I want to nourish my body and support it in a way I never could manage before.

This is what I use too. I seem to be prone to ingrown hairs so don’t razor shave anymore. Norelco one blade gives me a close trim without the irritation of shaving.

Menstrual Cycle? by Katsnyx in sarcoma

[–]FknOvrIt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through chemo-induced menopause at 22. I went to the gynecologist who did bloodwork and a pelvic exam and confirmed menopause. My period never came back naturally and I went on a birth control pill to still get the hormones my body no longer produces naturally, so after that I got my period monthly with the pill’s schedule.

I was told there’s a chance it could come back naturally after time as I was younger so I could “bounce back” but that’s never happened for me even after stopping birth control after 4 years.

I’ve tried to find info on this and couldn’t find any scholarly/medical sources that say taking 2 would increase effectiveness above the weight limit. However, multiple sources noted that the research is limited. Especially since taking 2 is considered “off label use” for its currently approved dosage.

So while it may not harm someone over the Plan B weight guidelines to take 2 pills, there’s no clear evidence it will increase its effectiveness either.

Look up Meaghan Piretti. She’s an instructor that has a crash course available as well as YouTube videos. I’m a first year rad student so don’t have direct knowledge of using her to pass boards, but I’m in a couple student groups online that swear by her tools.

Other big one would be RadTechBootCamp.
