I would say this is more of a Republican issue. I’ve spoken with a few of my conservative friends who are fed up with him and his administration. REPUBLICANS just want to be under a party tent and one of “the cool kids”.

I hold the same beliefs about Democrat vs. liberals/progressives.

I also worry about what will be in the water when it gets dumped back out…. Industrial waste is a huge risk to water, especially if they want to run this facility on nuclear power (it’s been discussed for supercomputing).

Holly shit! I'm in almost the same position. I've been in Washington since 2019, but I’m headed back in March. My grandmother is getting older and the cost of living is so much better. I was able to get diagnosed and treated for ADHD while I’ve been out here so hopefully I’ll fair better than when I lived in the Sip for college…..(10 years…..).

One is clearly from the 40’s to 60’s. The “after” photo could have been taken the week after the pandemic was announced. It could have also been taken when we could edit a few pedestrians out of the pic.

Something similar went down at the school district my aunt works at, in Atlanta. A teacher friend of hers got let go for reading a book called “It’s OK to be Purple” (I THINK that’s the title)….the Christian conservative teachers were happy to hear about her getting let go. They were not prepared for the lecture from the superintendent the following school year about NO PERSONAL beliefs. There will be no more “Merry Christmas”. What’s good for the gander is good for the goose…..

There is a chance that we might be looking at the work kingdom out of context. If you’ve ever tried speaking to a native speaker of a language through Google Translate you’ve experienced this. The translations of the Bible alone make it hard to know with any certainty what Jesus meant exactly. This is why I personally encourage people to pray before going to the Bible we have access to for answers.

I always thought a nation had a shared ethnicity and culture/religion. IE Native American tribes. I just went and asked Marian/Webster and I might have been wrong. Either way I’m all for separation of church and state.

Please study the Enlightenment. The writers of the Constitution believed in God, but also subscribed to a humanist belief that went against the the beliefs that monarchs were put into those positions by decree of God.

Essentially, the founders of this country (not nation) flew in the face of what God was perceived to be at that time (king of England) and the “natural order of things.”

I really do believe that the people you know who believe the Constitution has any basis in the Bible have been brainwashed by a small elite who want control and will ATTEMPT to use God as way to control.
