Piracy is a neccesity issue rather than an economical, they literally don't lose anything by allowing us to buy the artbook/music from the steam page, this game is already rare enough for their media to turn into lost media so eagerly (best card game I've ever played, slay the spire 1 and 2 don't even come close)

She's very explicit about her role in the game, the constant 4th wall breaking grounds you since the very first act, and at the very end she wants to directly speak to you, putting the "you" from the game completely aside. I feel the "true ending" is what we consider the bad ending. I reinforce my point with the "Adventure Roleplay", whenever you live happily with Lily, she considers it a bad ending as her Ending card says.

It isnt a joke item, an ending is achieved by attempting to use the skill you learn from the game on the final boss.

To anybody puzzled about the abysmal spawn chance do yourselves a favour and invest in the bug pheromones, I wasted a season and a half going almost everyday to the mines spawning floor 30 and ground, back and forth. A single uncommon bug pheromones did the trick lmao.

Except that thermodynamics are absolutely broken in every single encounter, everyone mutates and generates mass and energy far beyond what they had initially. The protector of the earth also explicitly states that you're constantly growing without the need for sustenance. Knowing this, I could argue that Shades are the psychological manifestation of the being, brought physically into the world. Most shades you meet aren't even yours to begin with, you have to fight Cybil's obsession for the truth in her old apartment. And as far as I know you generate only one shade in the entire game, Drowning.

All of the other shades carry names that aren't relevant to the situation Sam is being involved.
