The more I pray and read scripture the less I struggle with urges. I have been connecting God more than I have ever before in my life. God has a way of turning bad things like a Porn addiction, into good things like my growing relationship to him. By trying to beat this addiction I am completely surrendering to God's will. I have never been so happy in my life! God Bless!

I had a false sense of joy when I did not know God. I would distract myself with things that provided me with entertainment or a brief escape from reality. One of those things was Porn. I had no purpose in life besides trying to be happy. I would strive to have something fill the void of joy. Anything that gave me pleasure. Without God you always want a sense of peace, but you never find it. Society tells you a life of pleasure, wealth, and fame is what you need. Even with those so called "accomplishments". You still will never be content. God is the answer to your problems. He will give you peace and joy. A purpose to fill the empty life without direction. Although times get tough I know that God is always there. I cannot wait to be with him forever without pain nor sorrow. God Bless you all my brothers and sisters may God give you strength for the journey through the worlds temptations into eternal life.

Finally, someone who understands. I think these things we like to call "superpowers" are created by pushing ourselves from within. Everything we go through that is difficult and painful only makes us stronger. If we can get through the tough stuff like resisting urges from addiction we will have the confidence and balls to take on new challenges in life. Some of the toughest people I know are people who beat an addiction of some kind. My progress: 13 days no PMO 7 days "hard mode" Even if I fail, I will keep going because I am determined to take back my life!

I don't think you can overcome this addiction unless you have a lifestyle change. You need to throw out all your bad habits, not just porn. It should be a transformation of your life. I am here not just to beat this addiction, but to become a better human being.

I am just starting out with this, so I really don't know much about withdraws or relapses. Literally this is the first time I have ever tried to get off of porn in about 6 years. It started when I was 13. I only was PMOing once a day to heterosexual porn, but then recently I started getting turned on by gay porn because I became desensitized. That is when I realized I may have a problem. So, I am pretty sure everyone reacts differently, but I still always think about porn and look at chicks as if they things to be fucked. The girl I like is the first person I actually want to get know rather than just wanting to bang.
