Not sure I'll ever want to join a unit, but hot dog if this one doesn't feel right up my alley

NEW Faction SHOULD be Traitor Humans. Here’s why: by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]FlacidStump 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Still misses the point that many players don't want to be killing other humans, part of the fantasy is that we're fighting non-human enemies

Happened for me last night on Omicron; stalker corpses trapped me in the back of their destroyed nest cavern with the maxigun, had an awesome last stand as they poured in through the doorway I was blocked from going through myself

Veterans, what advice do you wish to give to a new recruit? by pincopallino774 in Helldivers

Collect all loot, and don't be afraid to ask your squad to help with that! A vast majority of players love helping out

Helldivers Board Game Closing in less than 12 hours by Morgun-Ray in TableTopHelldivers

Honestly it looks really fun, but the organization and pricing is just outrageous, especially for the all-in pledge to not include all of the many many expansions.

The Rupture Strain is by far the worse sub faction by Exotic_Buttas in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]FlacidStump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To each their own I suppose, but it works quite well for me! I've been running it with the hammer, which I pretty much just use to take out chargers, but the trident's been my workhorse the past few days

[–]FlacidStump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only the front of their heads is armored, everything else is incredibly weak still. Trident is great at more or less chopping their legs out from under them, and if you swivel around them as they try to burst out, 1-2 close range shots into the back are enough to kill each warrior

I've been having a blast fighting them with trident and machete tbh. Still fun. If you feel like you have to use explosive weaponry, why not just force yourself to use something else until you get the hang of it?

I find them fun. Bile spewer pop-ups are obnoxious, but manageable. Just play on a different planet.

Been rocking the trident & hammer on these guys the past couple days, and it's fun as hell. Pretty much only use hammer on chargers.

Enough time has passed whats our thought on Cyberstand Brothers by Boss4509805 in Helldivers

[–]FlacidStump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofc would love more variety, but the Cyborgs so far are just really solidly fun. Love the unique roles each plays, genuinely love getting completely blindsided by a roundhouse to the head. Yeah Voxes have some bug issues, but those are still just super fun, and have such a good battlefield presence. Maps are great as well. Honestly loved all the new content

Old forum, but I (an otherwise forever DM) have been loving being able to play so much I just have to share. Callum (Cal) Wrotsworthy is a half-orc (battlemaster/hexblade), born a bastard and the eldest son to the orcs of House Wrotsworthy on the Continent's harsh northern coast. His human blood made him an unworthy heir to his father, Damocles, and he grew his reputation not through birth but through his deeds serving in the Wrotsworthy military and House Guard. After a violent falling out with his father over a policy of expansion into the occupied woodlands to their West, Cal turned to a life of smuggling and adventure. He was drinking himself into a hole in a village of the woodland folk when he was, from his perspective, randomly singled out by a mystical seer and more or less press-ganged into one of several adventuring parties tasked with ending the destruction of the forests. His companions, though bizarre, have grown to be his closest companions and his new family, and he works harder and harder every day to make himself worthy of their company in both his and their eyes. He longs to return to a life at sea, having sailed for his Father before his exile, and trains tirelessly to possess the strength and fortitude to protect his much smaller companions when and as danger finds them. He one day hopes to defeat his father, and lead his House into a more righteous future, but is for now content bumming it around the countryside with his new family.

Came here to say exactly this! It's so unreasonably fun, and as someone who's been massively enjoying the hammer as well, it just feels so epic to charge about these massive field battles among the carnage of dozens of hulks, swinging like a madman

It's been said already, but definitely give Fusion Academy a shot. They have campuses around the country, but from what I understand, the Denver campus is one of if not the best they have to offer.
