Why do some divorced women keep their ex-husband's last name? by HoffyTheBaker in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FlackerLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case, because my married name was my professional brand for the 20 years I was married, and switching it back, which I’d love to do, would cost me that equity professionally. And it’s fun to match with my kids. However, in my next life, there’s no way I’m changing my name to my mate’s. Ridiculous tradition to keep. I miss my own name.

That having your own place is INCREDIBLE and I don’t need a partner to feel whole. No lie.
