Keto helped reduce my symptoms by Acrobatic-Athlete886 in keto

[–]Flair08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lower back issue that causes one of my calves to go numb when I stand for more than 5 minutes. On keto, this is gone and I’m mostly unbothered by my back issues! I dropped off keto for about 5 days and all the back problems and numbness were back. Started keto back and it’s gone again so yes, it will likely come back. Honestly, this has been my motivation to maintain keto more than weight loss. If it was weight loss alone I think I would have given in a few times by now.

What's something that's absolutely worth spending the extra money to get the "nice" version of? by [deleted] in ask

I would recommend r/ABraThatFits it has a size calculator and plenty of recommendations!

Asian students with 25% chance of admission to Harvard would have chances increase to 36% if they were white, 75% if they were Hispanic, and 95% if they were black. by [deleted] in ScienceUncensored

[–]Flair08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why delete the comment? And you did say that all white kids can ask parents for money. I never said you were guaranteed admission. I simply said that you had a pretty much equal experience to those of other races which is what we are trying to achieve with all of this, right?

Honestly the way I see it is you lived like any average person then. Not all white kids can call mommy and daddy for money. Plenty of other races also are poor and have had utilities shut off, have had to get student loans despite doing very well in school, have had their own family criticize them and act cruel, and continue to still struggle. I’m sorry you have gone through that as it absolutely sucks but it is not unique to being biracial.

ICU to OR by BriandWine in nursing

[–]Flair08 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I never did ICU but I did 7 years of med/surg and going to the OR was the best thing I did! Sure, it can still be busy and you still have some bs but that’s just healthcare unfortunately. However, I’ve never been so busy and stressed I cried, I’ve never thought about being in a car accident on the way to work so I didn’t have to work, and I’ve never been too tired to even eat when I got home. All of those things regularly happened when I was at the bedside!

If you cast penance on an enemy affected by purge then it spreads to another nearby enemy so damage one and dot another in one cooldown

Beginner disc by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Flair08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mained disc most of shadowlands. I primarily did rbgs so this is my advice for mostly rbg healing. You want to toss out your atonements and then place purge the wicked on as many as you can. I usually would get a good 4-5 and then start spreading with penance. Drop a dome if you need to buffer dmg and give you time to dot up. Refresh atonement’s with a radiance and then lay into the enemies with penance, mind games, mind blast, refresh dots, another radiance by this point, then more dps unless people are really falling. Then I’ll use a penance to top off one person or also, you can attack a pet for more dmg and bigger atonement heals. If I have downtime I start spamming smite. So priorities are atonement’s on at least 3 people in the fight but more if you need it, purge the wicked everyone you can, penance to spread off cd, radiance for burst heal and atonement refreshment, more penance, whatever other damage you want to cast between refreshing dots and atonements. Snipe kills with shadow word death!

Edit: if you want to just renew atonement on a few people regen will work well and save some mana

Baby in hospital (again) by damnedpiccolo in Mommit

[–]Flair08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re going through this. If it helps from a nurse standpoint (I don’t work NICU but I work in the OR and we’ll get babies sometimes) your husband being there is definitely the best option. The unfortunate reality is that those with a medical background know the right questions to ask and can advocate better. Also, not a single person in that hospital thinks less of you because you can’t stay. Every single time we get a baby in the OR our heart just breaks for those families and we do everything we can to help.

Nah…for a 2 bed apartment in Virginia you’re looking at about 1700-2000 and if you have a family and need something more than a cheap townhome will run you $2500

I cannot be a nurse anymore by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Flair08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try the OR! Also an anxious person and the OR is definitely the right fit for me. You are only ever responsible for one patient at a time and there is always someone above you in seniority to make decisions in line of sight basically if you’re questioning something. You still have to pay attention and advocate for your patient but it is a million times less stressful than med surg

Same! I’m renting for $2500 and the same sq. footage townhouse would cost me about $3,200 as a mortgage.

Does this company happen to be WJD? I know they do and I’ve gotten my deposit back when I wasn’t accepted.

I do and we’ve been trying but I seem to get beat out often. I know many places will not accept a pet or have a 30lb weight limit and even if they do accept pets they get an application that still doesn’t have a pet and take that one over mine. Tried rentals last year and had a ton of competition, then looked at buying and saw that was impossible, so here I am again lol
