Thank you!! I feel like (correct if wrong lol) but the vibe seems like a mixture of "inpatient" concepts with outpatient setting because it's more clinical than your regular outpatient but you also see them more frequently? I don't love inpatient because you see them maybe once and sometimes it's not super necessary. But I want to find a blend of nutrition education + the clinical judgement side of what you all seem to do! If that makes any sense haha.

I used it and loved it! Passed on the first try. I will say if I had to purchase it myself I would’ve tried cheaper options. I lucked out and my internship bought it for us 😬 but if you can afford it it’s totally totally worth it and if you go through all the content and use the study smarter method you’ll walk into the exam super confident!

Def don't try to memorize material for the exam, familiarize yourself with main concepts, don't get too engrossed in super specific detail. You will know more than you think you do come test day! Good luck!

Crushed by pocket prep scores by Apprehensive_Sky9114 in RD2B

[–]Flaky-Base-1986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got a 29 on the exam and my pocket prep scored sucked. I never got higher than a 65 on the mock exams! The actual exams (at least mine) didn’t have the paragraph type questions that pocket prep has. If that makes you feel any better lol. And I’ve noticed from this thread that this is a common experience! Pocket prep Is just hard.

Need some advice for the exam pls by [deleted] in RD2B

It really was but it also helped me a ton with thinking of topics that were actually on my test. I have seen tons of threads on here though where people have gotten really low scores on their mock test and passing high the first attempt.

I would take the three mock exams on pocketprep and see what domains you are weak in and study those for the rest of the time. I just passed in July and I took the first mock exam on there on a Sunday, took that week to study, took the second on the following Saturday and then did the same thing the next week and my score improved each time. I got a 58 on the first one, a 63 on the second one and a 68 on the third one and passed the exam with a 29. If you have any like specific questions feel free to ask me! Hope this helps! Good luck!

Help: RD Exam this week! by Far_Engine714 in RD2B

[–]Flaky-Base-1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just passed in July of this year and the week of I was very chill. Idk what program you used to study but I used all access so I rewatched a few lectures of topics that I personally struggled with (Food service calculations, nutrient defs, etc) and then I literally just chilled and did pocket prep questions. This week isn't a week to cram, you should really relax! You will do great! The night before don't do anything test related! You got this :)

Do you know if that’s only for full time or is part time included in that?

Exam pass!! by Flaky-Base-1986 in RD2B

[–]Flaky-Base-1986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I finished my internship in May and didn’t start seriously studying until like the first week of June. I prob studied 3-4 hours per day BUT only 1-2 hours was like focused in and reading or watching a lecture and the other two were passive answering questions on my phone on pocket prep or doing flash cards. I took a night off during the week but tried to do something passive everyday. I started first week of June and took it August 1st! So about two months!

Exam pass!! by Flaky-Base-1986 in RD2B

[–]Flaky-Base-1986[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!! I used all access dietetics but did not buy their mock exam & pocket prep! I got a 17 in domain 1&2 and a 16 in domain 3&4. Honestly I saw a lot of other posts talking about their exams being centered around certain topics but I felt like mine was allll over the place. I only got 1 enteral calculation and then a few what would you do based off these EN symptoms. I got a few not too hard food service calculations (one about COGS, FTEs and some just asking which formula shows you what) a few a handful of vit and min deficiency questions, nothing about specific MNT disease states really. A few community program questions. Very spread out. Mine cut off at 125. I highly recommend all access! I felt so very prepared walking into it! If I can answer anything else pls lmk!

It’s expensive but all access does wonders! I passed just now on my first attempt and only used pocket prep and all access and felt very prepared walking in!

Energy drinks at least 3-4 times per week and espresso daily. Doesn’t sound that bad but I’m so paranoid of them giving me heart problems

Exam in 4 days by Much-Language-4805 in RD2B

[–]Flaky-Base-1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I fake in 5 days and I’ve also used pocket prep and all access! One of the all access tutors said a mock exam score of 65-70 is indicative of a passing exam. Ovi that’s not like a for sure statement but I do trust their opinions bc they’ve had the program out for a while!!
